it started with a mass mail to my myspace friends, which caused nothing more than a few eyebrows to be raised.
that was the reaction of people who know me in real life.

Richie, if these things that have been brought up about you are in any way true, then I am really worried for you, not here on JWD, but in real life. (I'm a mom who has had kids make wrong choices and have to live with the nasty consequences). If deceit becomes a way of life, it just becomes a tangled web that leads to heartache. At your age, I messed up badly, and I received a wake up call that I couldn't ignore. It put me on a much better road. Sometimes we just need to step back and reconsider where we are heading. That's something that is good for us all to do from time to time.

Here is a site where you can listen to Christian hymns, and they will tell you the history of the authors, composers, etc. You can sing along and no one will tell you to be quiet! (Or you can even learn some new ones)
Be encouraged by all the Witnesses who are waking up to the truth about their religion. Some of them will get to know their Bibles and our Saviour.

Well, so what if 18-20 years ago the so-called professionals didn't have courses in child abuse? The Bible has stated for 2000 years that it is better to be drowned by a millstone tied around your neck than to cause a child to stumble. So the WT using this supposed fact as some sort of excuse against their lack of action and protection of pedophiles in their congregations is pretty lame indeed. Parents and victims have known the devastating effects, even if the experts were slow on the uptake! I would certainly expect much higher standards from God's CHOSEN organization.

My brother-in-law was almost killed by a moose hitting his truck.
We have deer darting out in front of us all the time. It makes me nervous! People have died around here too. Wild turkeys are also a problem, and I was attacked once by a Canadian goose with attitude as I turned onto my road.
I hit a rabbit recently, and felt very bad about it, I tried to swerve and avoid it, but it didn't work.
Here is a local sign for your contemplation. Good to know those tax dollars are going to good use! :

Wanting to just FREAKIN run away....I think I know why now...
by oompa inthe past year or so was year was really, really bad as i came to realize the waking up experience.
once i knew for sure wt was a sham, (although maybe sincere), i had this immediate feeling i would have to leave.....everything.
of course my wife was already going nuts from all my study, questions, doubts, letters to society, meetings with elders....but once i really knew and felt i would have to leave.... i did leave several times.

Cat pee
by noni1974 inomg i'm so pissed at my cat baby.he has this thing he does when the cat box needs changed.he pees on my clothes and on my bedding.i usually don't know he's doing it till it's to late.. last week i had just changed my bedding and put my 300.00 comferter on my bed for winter.i just climbed in my bed to go to sleep.my cat gets up on the bed and pees on me.. i know what your thinking get rid of the cat he's got a problem.but i can't who would adopt a cat who's a known pee er?
?he only does this when the cat box is really bad.i'm usually on top of it but there are times when i get home and i'm too tired to change the cat box.. so now i'm trying a new cat litter.i tried feline pine.now i'm trying a cat litter made of recycled news paper.it's called yesterdays news.so far i like it better then feline pine because i hate the smell of the pine cat litter.it smells like i have giant hamsters living with me.. now i'm left with cleaning up the pee smell out of my comferter.i bought some vinager because another poster told me it gets pee and other oders out of fabric.i'm soaking the comferter in it now and i will leave it soaking till monday.my comferter is too big to just throw in a washer and wash.i need to take it to a laundry mat and put it in a washer that can wash 4 loads at once.. does anyone else have any tips for me.number one to get the smell out if the vinager doesn't work and number two to get him to pee where he's supposed to..

I would love to hear how you and your husband came across Crisis of Conscience while still active Witnesses. I am sure it must have ripped your heart out to read about the truth concerning the "Truth".
I'm glad you've found friends, even if they are Baptists.
