  i have a question about my religion.

  when people turn apostate, why do they seem kinda... weird.

  they turn back to false teachings and their bible knowledge even proves that.

  The whole reason why this person came to JWD is probably one of two reasons:
  
  1. They were just given a promotion in the Kingdom Hall, so they feel powerful!
  
  or
  
  2. They are starting to have doubts and want to pick the brains of those who have been through what they are currently going through.
  
  Either way, the extremely judgemental, antagonistic approach of current JW's in conversation is very telling.

  Update on my life =(

  and the past 4 months we have been having problems.

  i posted on the board in the past about the first incident.. but we decided to work on it since she seemed genuinely remorseful... it is hard to beleive now that she abandoned all her morals, her religion, family and friends to persue this pipe dream..... it all started out like this.

  but i guess the little things like that meant nothing.

  Man, I totally understand your situation. I have been having some really rough times lately and I'll admit that the idea of ending my life has come up a LOT lately. Hope things get better for you. I truly do. My advice would be: marriage/relationships are poisonous. They are completely evil.

  Funny Kingdom Hall Scandals

  in one hall i was in, we had sister self-righteous.

  you know the type, always pointed out how spiritual she is and how much she does for jehovah.

  anyway, one time she invited me and my two kids over to swim in her pool on a hot day and i told her i could come but that i had my nephew up from ct for a visit and asked if i could bring him.

  A few affairs between married people that were kept hidden.
  
  One was an elder and the sister of a Witness who decided he was "gay" after the affair was discovered. Also, the affair lasted about 15 years LOL.
  
  A few closet gays that were "outed".

  One closet lesbian that was "outed".
  
  And one wife-swapping group of friends that got caught.
  
  There's lots more but its all kind of a blur.
