I have been approved to write the cover story for local newspaper about Jehovah's Witnesses. It can't be any more than 2,500 words. This newspaper has a HUGE reader-base. What would you guys suggest me focusing the writing about? I hope this will help many others see the truth about this dangerous cult.

I'll put the letter up on a server later tonight so you can download it if you want to read it. It's really long and detailed, and no offense, but many posters here aren't into detail, or reading anything that has any length to it.
The phone call and the letter went together kinda. I've basically been regularly calling and writing them to address their 1914 teaching, and it's being based on a false destruction date of Jerusalem. I've also addressed their decades of specific date predictions for the end of the world, and how that categorically makes them a false prophet according to Deuteronomy 18 and Matthew 24.And the list goes on and on. I'm going to be turning all of this information into a radio call-in show, possibly to be syndicated. But if not, it will have the possibility of reaching a few million listeners.

Would not be surprised if they receive hundreds of letters from"apostates" and they don't want to deal with it anymore feeling that
they will never be able to change an apostate thinking.
But to them, an "apostate" can be ANYBODY that has found something unscriptural about their teachings. Plus, their warped, cult-trained thinking is harder to change than anything. That organization is just one paradox after another.

So it's been a month since my detailed letter was sent to the Watchtower Service Department. I sent the letter through DHL delivery, so that it could be tracked. As of today, they still deny recieving the letter. Unfortunately, I have the date that it was delivered there, which was 2 days after it was sent. I also have the name of the person at the Watchtower who signed for the package. Ouch.
When I explained how I had all this info, the guy in the Service Department said, "Uhh, is this something urgent?" I said, "Yes, it's urgent because I keep getting put off by you guys. First I call with serious questions and concerns, and I'm told that you guys say that you "don't like to have to stop and talk about it" over the phone. So I'm told to send a letter, which I feel is just prolonging the process. Now I'm being told that you haven't recieved the letter." The comedy from Brooklyn continues. -

Here's one. But I wasn't the one that got him drunk. Me and another ministerial servant, along with an ex-elder and another guy from our Kingdom Hall decide to all go to a Hank Williams, Jr. concert. For some reason, this concert was particularly wild. I remember seeing several topless women. The ex-elder, who drove all of us there, decided to go sit in his car because he was just too offended at what all was going on. He was dirty back-stabbing type. He was probably thinking about how he was going to tell the elders how 2 ministerial servants were at a wild Hank Jr. concert. Anyway, the other guy from our hall that was with us decided to start drinking a little. Then a little led to a lot. Before we knew it, he had taken his shirt off and was running through the arena waving a rebel flag. When the concert was over, he was nowhere to be found. We waited at the ex-elder's car for a looooong time, but still no sign of him. At the meeting the next day (Sunday), the dude's wife comes up and asks me if I have any idea where her husband might be, because he never came home. I was shocked and felt really bad. But he was the only one in the group that decided to drink. He showed up a few days later. Nobody knows where he went. LOL good times

QFR: New light on Annointed? No more Holy Spirit than the rest of us?
by WingCommander inquestion for all of those in the know:.
i've been getting snipits of info on some threads concerning some possible "new light" that was supposedly in a recent questions from readers.
from what i could briefly gather, it states that the annointed don't have any more "holy spirit" inside them than do the great crowd.

Simple, Wing Commander!
Because THEY SAY that they are the chosen channel.
For instance, in the September, 2002 Our Kingdom Ministry, it says, "Bear in mind that our heavenly Father has an appointed channel of communication, "the faithful and discreet slave." That "slave" has the responsibility to determine what information is made available to the household of faith, as well as "the proper time" for it to be dispensed. This spiritual food is available only through the theocratic organization. We should always look to God's appointed channel for reliable information."
So as you can see, they have plainly proven that they are God's one, true, chosen channel.
