Many of us were just young, when our parents went down a road with great promise, and the very hard parts there just gave promise of "soon" to endure it all. But we in time, too much time, knew this road as senseless and untruthful. We left, not knowing everything, but we sure knew where we had been.

Big Shake-Up Among Jehovah's Witnesses
by JW GoneBad ini heard that there was a recent (january 2013) big shake up on the west coast in orange california.
i think it is a kingdom hall on taft street in orange that has a double hall.
anyway, i heard that there were 10 to 15 disfellowshiped, others given public reproof and several congregations broken up and new conregations started as a result.

several congregations broken up and new conregations started as a result.
Is this how "new" congregations are starting now-a-days.
JW New Year's Eve party? I can hardly wait till their "2014" New Year's Eve Party!!

Scientologists break up families! Does this sound familiar?
by 00DAD ini just watched a 2008 nbc nightline special on scientology.
in it, there was an interview with ex-scientologist and former seaorg member astra woodcraft.. among other very interesting statements, she made this telling comment about scientology: .
"if they would just let people who wanted to be there, be there.
-
Gayle
Interesting news video,,they have an "Ex-Scientologist kids.com" group. Maybe some day there will be an "ex-JW kids.com"
Kids growing up in a cult involves much more of their personality/psyche, than adult converts. Adults may have a 'base' of their real self, however, children in a cult don't get/have that base. To find that within themselves, takes more unraveling. It's going to be much more emotional and excruiating.

Rumor of new light on the headquarters of the WT
by wolfman85 ini read in a forum in spanish that there is a strong rumor spreading in the corridors of the wt.
has anyone heard anything about this??
the change that is emerging is this: the great crowd has not yet appeared, and it is a group that comes out of the great tribulation.

They are great "flip-floppers" like chronic liars and fish caught and struggling.

Were you popular in your congregation or district?
by Emery innot to start some form of popularity contests here but i was wondering how popular some people were?
how far did your network go in this organization?
this question also pertains to those who are actively fading..

It Appears The Elderly Are More Taken Care Of Then Ever Before By The Elders
by minimus ini usually find fault with the religion but i must give credit when due.
in the hall my mom is in, they regularly check on her and assign different ones to visit and check on the elderly.. if there's a storm or an extremely cold day, they come by to make sure the elderly have everything they need..
-
Gayle
Since the "new" ones becoming less and less, baptisms decreasing, etc., they'll have more time to take care of each other, especially for their increasing numbers of aging. I know, even years ago, those (including me) that were counting time on inactive elderly, in nursing home. Can't say that I regret that either; she had nothing/nobody else.

NEW STUDY AT THE KINGDOM HALL. ADVICE NEEDED.
by DATA-DOG inas the title suggests, there is a young man studying the bible teach book and attending meetings.
at every meeting that he has attended, there have been some really cultish comments.
of course i hear them loud and clear now, and for years then were coming through, that is why i woke up.. anyway, at the meeting i was sitting there, hating it, listening to all the emotion comments from the audience.

I would contemplate to try to leave the "Pamphlet" printout on jwfacts.com in his car. or, if you can get his address,,maybe on "whitepages.com" and send anonymously.
Or, if anyone wants to pm me if you have his email or possibly facebook, I could send an 'message' from me, an unknown, as I am free from WTS 20 years now. I don't need to know your name, email or nothing. Just PM me and let me know what I can do.

If they stop printing the yearly totals, will they stop tracking hours?
by Splash inso if the soc stop printing the yearly totals in the yearbook as many are predicting, does this mean there is no longer any need to keep track of each individuals hours?.
will this mean the end of our monthly reports?.
*** km 12/02 p. 8 par.
-
Gayle
I don't think the 'rank & file' pay any attention to the Annual Service Report anyway. The WTS has pushed it out of the WT, to the front part of the Yearbook and now to the very back. Most probably didn't even note it. Even in the U.S. KM that note "Highlights" really don't show increases anymore (maybe for a couple independent islands, but actual U.S).
If any really did seriously check it out, I think they'd have to get depressed. Hardly much notable increases truly.

Has she talked w/other coworkers about JWism? Then, could you anonymously leave a copy on her desk inconspicuously of the "Pamphlet" on jwfacts.com?
Since she's the one bringing up things about her religion there at work. The pamphlet at least may keep her from bringing up her crazy religion.
