yadda, pls don't go for long,, i back off every few days too,,I am so sorry specifically right now, but you have had such pointed things of value, I know,,I say what I sincerely want to say or certain parts,,sometimes, I feel chopped down by a commenter , but a few jump up and say it together harmonized perfectly,,it is so grand! So supportive. Anyway, every one should have a point of view, our experience is true,, to be accepted or not.

Thinking of taking a break from this forum
by yadda yadda 2 instarting to feel my time is wasted on here lately and its time to move on.. some of the best, meaty stuff only gets a few hundreds views and as soon as the posts dry up a bit the thread is soon forgotten (usually in a few days) under the constantly falling snowflakes of new threads (many trival) continuously being created and popping up as 'active topics'.
the same core jw related subjects then keep reappearing over and over again as new threads without getting a thorough treatment at the time (eg, there must be at least one 'are jw's a cult' thread started each week on here; 'new light' topics get about 20 new threads started with the quality of analysis spread and diluted over all of them.).
anyone else tend to feel the same way at times?.

'Deal with it!' - WT, in so many words
by Gayle inhttp://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/wp20091101/spouse-special-needs/.
an article if a marriage partner has a chronic health issue.
no - did not mention something like - 'just read the bible & you'll feel better.
-
Gayle
Thank you so much, SfPW,, for pointing out that the article was a 'public' edition. Certainly, what the WTS says to the general public is more positive, 'practical' and more 'publicly' correct. So different, than for the 'members' insiders directions/suggestions. (Yes, I agree also, that many JWs do go the extra in helping personally 'some' in congs. to get to meetings, 'some' household chores and 'some' social visits.) I know also, that Bethel has it 'very' organized in having doctors, nurses, caregivers, and all normal household amenities to assist their aging, at least the ones they keep.

no - did not mention something like - 'just read the Bible & you'll feel better.' instead picture shows to do a puzzle together.
no - did not mention go in field service to somehow feel better-
no- did not mention to talk to elders about it. (Proven fact; elders don't help with such things. kind of too bad, so sad attitude)
no- no promise of the new world coming so soon.
Eventually, they may even render themselves unable to continue providing care for their beloved mate. No mention on how one's would process that one. Certainly, nothing within organization for any such services. And the 'cost?' when most JWs already are just eke-ing by.
Basically. ones are on their own. Sad thing and reality, as many to most JWs are aging and getting health problems. The WT message is ending up very empty and nothing to offer and very unpromising.

Interview with an "Apostate": Losingit
by losingit ini was always in the top of my class in school and participated in many afterschool activities.
it was the best experience of my life.
i was 19 at the time.

So loved reading your story. I love reading books by former JWs. Having a site with countless "Interviews" of former JWs is priceless. Hearing/reading these accounts, shows such learned/experienced found strengths of each interviewee. Not feeling alone in this process makes such a difference.
Some day I hope there is a free e-book like "I am an ex-Jehovah's Witness (but not alone)" with a collection of personal experiences. Each account is a book in itself, but requiring less time but much encouragement for the many in this process.
I am a grandma now and becoming a mom pushed me many times through the process of leaving the cultism. I am thrilled none of my 5 children became JWs and they are thankful too. Your children will be forever grateful having a mom like you, willing to grow and encouraging them to grow in so many positive ways and giving them the opportunity of free minds and hearts.
Best wishes to you!

Thx, Fernando!! May be some day, there will be such an "ex-Jehovah's Witness" site. Obviously, the ex-Mormons have a very good 'pro-active' group!

The Governing Body Have Stabbed Many Old Bethelites In The Back By Not Taking Care Of Them In Their Old Age
by frankiespeakin inthese guys are real company men when they have mass lay off of older bethelites tossing them to the curb and making the congregation they are assigned to carry some of the load, so that the watchtower corporation can cut costs of providing for these nolonger young people who have devoted theirs lives to the corporation.. they are heartless bastards aren't they?
i wonder what kind of undercurrent this is causing at headquartes?.

The WTS is a "beast," You must scratch its back fervently, constantly. If you slow down, it turns on you.

Have a wonderful weekend with your daughter. I don't know if you do Christmas yet? Doing a "Winter Wonderland" holiday is a great stepping stone.
Show your daughter what fun she can have, celebrating life, at least seasons. Show her the positives of this life. She will see that her parent's life has more joy for her. Her grand-parents life will not compare.
