ugh,, I don't think anything catchy can get through to them. Mostly, I think the 'crack' has to come from within like a little chick trying to get out of the hard shell.

JWs complain when one of their own does some atrocious crime, the media reports he is a JW, when if he was a Catholic, etc,, then media doesn't report that. JWs set this up upon themselves.
JWs are the ones to boast they are the best people. They boast going to the public squares and peoples homes. They boast all other groups will soon be destroyed. These haughty boasters do not like their "sins" and weaknesses publicized.
JWs say wait on Jehovah. Well, maybe God is screaming at them, he could use stones, but in reality, thousands of people are screaming, outraged @ WT.org.

This was such a interesting talk show. (Lots of cussing) Kind of shows the difference between one (Jerry) raised strictly in the org and one (Kurt) more liberally (got presents the day after Christmas etc). Kurt says JW world is 'benign' and Larry differed. I feel Larry has done a lot of research about the JW org. in recent times, reading and online, as Kurt was unaware to several revealing issues. Kurt's JW mom still talks a lot with him, but Larry's mom, not for years. Both agreed the similarity of ex-JWs, both surprised when someone spoke with them about seriously going back.
Now that it is the weekend, maybe more will have the hour to listen to these entertaining fellas.

I guess I never in some 30 years never took the 'theme' of those conventions as much any unique importance. Actually, even the yearly text scripture, never was any uniqueness either.
This may be of no importance either but;
2015 Convention locations show to be in 116 cities with 417 total. 216 English, 126 Spanish, and 75 Sign & other languages. About 3,000/3500 avg. pubs. per convention. (Some more, some less like for Sign & other languages.) 11 Conventions start May 22.

by New day inin a recent thread someone mentioned that the wtbts uses mind control techniques.
do you think this is a conscious ploy?
if it is it would mean that the leaders of my religion (i am still an active jw) set out consciously to control people.

When a man or a small group put themselves up as god's representative to make rules in abundance for people to never question or disagree, he/they have purposely with all arrogance have stepped beyond their place knowingly and are with no balance. Their promises are empty and they only add burden.
Some people like to be ruled and such an arrogant selfish group find an advantage to this.

1st time in 30 years no one Baptized at our Assembly
by James Jack inat our assembly in alabama, no one got baptized, even though we added 3 congregations to our side in the circuit.
just looked at my wife and said wow.. yet ironically, the regular pioneer ranks have increased 45% in the last 5 years!.

this was very interesting,,, very hilarious too,,I recommend it,,,it's an hour clip so got to wait till you have the time. Two different guys versions of being raised in JW lives,,one raised a little more liberal than the other. One is more in the know of the organization,, one gives a little more credit to org than the other, tho both are totally out. One speaks with JW mom pretty well yet,,the other doesn't not speak much at all.

this is a really deep burning topic to me as i'm sure it is to many of you.

Thank you so much Flipper. Amazing how you were able to keep your 'cool' demeanor there. I know I wouldn't do so well. Hitting them with this issue, they have no knowledge about it, so no defense. Only agitation! You inspired me to bring it up if JWs come by my house. JWs don't know me from this area but I have told them I used to be a JW years ago (30 yrs. never DF'd). so they haven't come by in a long time.
Except, I came home the other day and a memorial invite was here in the door. I got stirred up again. So, I needed my walk for exercise anyway, so I printed 30 JWFACT.com 'leaflet,' not pamphlet. Just a half sheet of 15 bullets about JWs. So as I did my very snappy walk, I put the leaflet in my block's doors. Many houses still had the "invite" in the door yet. Thought of taking their invites out, but thought better not but they could see them both.
Having those copies of the news media handy with you was great. JWs have to know about this. Especially, if people in the know confront them about it. Now, I am wondering if you or 'JWFacts Paul' or someone could do a leaflet size about this "pedophile" issue as a handout for when JWs come by again, and some to put out at doors when I do a good snappy walk.
To JWs, I would just say, "Do you know about your '2-witness' rule regarding pedophiles in your midst or congregation/organization? You need to be informed!" and hand them a leaflet. They could just tear it up I know, but that question could stir up something and stick in the meantime.
Not all, but a good number would want to know, like that one gal, that stated she wanted to know. If people in their door to door work start bringing this up, it would really impact them on their service days.
