  as i said in another thread, most of them started partaking the emblems after 1935. that's a clear sign that there's a corrosion of the "remnant" doctrine, because now most of the governing body are considered "replacements" of 'anointed ones who have fallen away'.

  Would you have married a non JW

  when you were a good active jw, would you have considered marrying a non jw or was this completely out of the question..

  No, never, only dated JWs & not much,,then went to Bethel & 4 yrs later married a Bethelite (Nathan Knorr married us at Bethel in '73 and we left in '74, starting a family). We were married 21 yrs & divorced. He wasn't "scripturally free" but remarried 2 mos later a girl (never a JW) but didn't tell her he was a JW & 1 1/2 yrs later she divorced him . He was moving around a lot so I don't think he was ever disfellowshipped. After 11 yrs I remarried a wonderful man, ( never a JW).. He is so supportive and loving,,and he even is supportive of my venting about my past JW life..he can't believe what the religion does so horribly to break up families.

  Don Adams, Karl,Adams and Joel Adams are biological brothers. Karl was in charge of the writing staff at least back in the 70's.

  MANY PBS STATIONS WON'T SHOW KNOCKING !

  even though knocking is scheduled for a national pbs broadcast on may .

  2007, as many as one-quarter of local pbs stations will not show .

  I do think this PBS documentary (yes, I've seen it) will cause people to listen to JWs when they call at their door next time, and that's all JWs need...and you know the rest of the story. Unfortunately, many are not "internet" people so only will end up listening to JWs.

  I know it's not enough, but the allowance to take fractions has at least poked a hole in the blood doctrine. Some with inclination hopefully will "think" about their "personal conscience." Once an individual taps into their own real "personal conscience" there's no stopping it and then goes the "domino effect."

  Today's Text is Scriptural Blasphemy

  hey gang, this morning as i was making some coffee i saw the "text book" lying there and decided i'd read todays text as i never do, just to see what it had to say.. it was taken from john 15:12 which says..... " this is my commandment, that you love one another just as i have loved you".. anyways, it goes on to say what jesus told his diciples who asked him which was the greatest of all the commandments and jesus answered them that "you must love god with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself".

  then it went on to ask if this law was also important to christians today and the comment was.... ( and heres the kicker) "absolutely, the law of christ involves a heartfelt love of god and includes a new command.....christians are to have a self sacrificing love for one another".. so rather than say christians are to love your fellowman, they twist the scripture and say christians are to love other christians.......and we all know by that statement they mean other jehovah's witnesses since they hold no regard for christians of this world.

  yes, once again they play mind tricks on the publishers and tell them to love each other...rather than your fellowman and people of this world in general as was the case in the illustration jesus himself gave with the good samaritan.. it's no wonder jehovah's witnesses are despised by many in this world with their self rightous attitudes and beliefs regarding their fellowman that is induced in them by a few old men from brooklyn new york.. i hope your reading this wtbts spies, i really do.

  It took a long time for that scripture to sink in for the part that says "as yourself." Somehow when the WT quotes that scipture, it sounds like "instead of yourself."

  So this is Gene Smalley's pet doctrine about the blood?,,so do you think he has been an influence for the adjustments about the fractions, etc. which I think it a good development (tho not enough). Maybe it will take a while for JWs to develop on the "conscience" part if/or when they become personally affected with the blood issue. I know the organization really doesn't want the JWs to be able to use their "own personal conscience" because once that starts, there's no stopping and the "domino effect" starts. You mentioned Gene is the one accountable about "Questions from the Readers." Makes me think of the Questions from the Readers in the May 1 WT, regarding the "new light" that the heavenly calling is not done yet. Could Gene Smalley have been at least partly influential in that? One wonders. I know he wasn't a partaker about 30 yrs ago but maybe he does now or is going to this year?? I did housekeeping in the Bethel library 30+ years ago and Gene would come down (his office was on the 9th floor occasionally to speak with some that had offices there surrounding the library. One girl (she later left Bethel and later married a CO, I think) did some of the typing for the brothers there and one day she was teasing Gene about his office being the "Most Holy" because his office didn't have a door, only a curtain.

  Legal wrangling concerning the Governing Body today from my mom.

  she stated that the attorney handling her estate, because of florida law could not take the "death requests form, from the society" because of the case concerning terry shiavo.

  (the attorney handling my mom's case is not a witness and she was furious that she was asked to sign a document stating that if the governing body changed their minds on something this would apply to her.. what is strange is that an outside attorney would have a document like this.

  is anyone aware of this?.

  That's wonderful your mom saw the conflict of the WT organization saying it's okay to accept blood fractions but an individual can't give it.

  I wonder how many more like her are seeing the conflict of sense.
