I have no problem considering myself a Watchtower Society 'apostate'. Webster's dictionary states apostasy: 1. renunciation of a religious faith 2. abandonment of a previous loyalty: defection (conscious abandonment of allegiance (as to a person, cause or doctrine).

Why use the word apostate?
by greendawn inwhy should we define ourselves by what the fds defines us?
our enemies who seek emotional control over us even after we left their destructive cult have invested a lot of effort to demonize us with the word apostate and when we use the term ourselves we do their work for them.
most so called apostates simply thought about things deeply and came up with many questions that the jws instead of answering in a logical manner labelled these inquiring minds as demon inspired apostates doubting the god appointed fds and expelled them from their org.

This case is interesting. I don't know if Lawrence Hughes has a good case of what Brady and Gnam encouraged Bethany to do as far as rejecting blood transfusions any more. However, it could have an impact to the Hospital Liason Committees elders in the future on their purpose and how careful they will have to be to not lead patient's for fear of a possible lawsuit against them personally later at some point. I think the HLC is basically set up as a control device by the WT Society. But if some of those elders would get some concern about 'their individual' accountability of possible lawsuits in the future, perhaps some might would consider stepping out of that position. I will be following this case. At least it will make a point for lawyers and HCL to be very careful and mindful of not over-stepping and over-guiding JW patients.

WTBTS Now hinting at having LARGE families?????
by annalice inok so i don't know if this means anything but, i was just over on the watchtower official web site.
( i like to keep up on the crap they write).
anyhow there is a article titled "large families united in god's service".

The article noted there too a couple with several children pioneering also. This is crazy! The WT organization is so "short-sighted." Childhood goes quickly and giving children all you can give is plenty 'ministry' enough for parents of any size family, especially a large size family. The GB don't have children so what do they know. Maybe one or two GB had a child but most didn't. Then, all those children are taught to pioneer when they should be taught to get all the education/schooling they should get to face the reality of their future. I had five children and thank God, the WT Society didn't any of them!

Japan closes 638 Congregations!!!!! Why???
by Witness 007 injapan since the 1970''s has had amazing publisher increases!
every year the number of witnesses shot up by many thousands.
this peaked in 1998, since then the number of witnesses and congregations has continued to drop!.

I remember when Japan was increasing so quickly in the early 70's. Now it is decreasing quickly - the WT Society doesn't adjust to the true needs/reality of people. That's why when I see some third-world countries increasing so much now, I think they will only decrease quickly at some point soon. The self-absorbed WT organization will not be there to truly help the reality of the poor JWs in third-world countries and their special needs (education & medical needs).

My District Convention pioneer experiences- I fed my kids from the gutter?
by Witness 007 ini wen't to the district convention 2 years ago, the talk was on "sacrifices," a pioneer couple were interviewed by the c.o.
they had pioneered for many years with two kids, the dad worked part time.
they explianed how money was "tight" for them many times.

This is surely a religion that sacrifices their children! Here, the WT Society sanctions it! How revolting! The emotional baggage the poor children carry in so many ways. The children have to sacrifice the most! There is no reason children shouldn't have adequate, rounded food in first-world countries no matter how poor! The organization definitely needs the exposure for the poor abused children's sake.

several things really bother me.

Certainly very sorry for the families. I was comforted when my mom died that 'soon' she would be resurrected. That was 37 years ago! I am now more comforted that she has been already in a better place all these years.

What kinds of fading techniques have you used?
by ldrnomo insome of you may have seen my post in jedi masters topic but if you haven't i will re-post it here:.
i'm new to the site, my wife and i are are doing the fade we still have a son and daughter-in-law who are still in so we don't want to get hung.
i was an elder for 25 years and was removed because i didn't agree with the gb on an important issue and spoke privately and with trust to another elder who broke that trust and told the other elders and co about my disagreement.

Moving a time or two. I think how you have done is awesome. Moving worked easily for me since 'work' was a natural issue too.
