Yes, they're getting old and dying. All the GB in Brooklyn Bethel in the early 70's are all dead now. All 9 GB now have all been brought in since (except Steve Lett was at Brooklyn Bethel in early 70's as a young kid, partaker, not a GB then by far, he left Brooklyn in early 70's but called back much later). The old there at Bethel are taken care of, however, not much/any concern for the old elsewhere. I hope the youth are viewing their aging parents and aging/dying grandparents that have long been JWs and hope the youth are considering doing things quite a bit different.

I am sickened when this happens. Now the children have to grown up without their mother, knowing she chose to die over her God-given responsibility to do all she could to stay alive and raise her children. The WTS has extreme blood-guilt in manipulating people lives on this blood issue.

Why do we have to talk about what happened to us?
by wanderlustguy ini just watched reign over me.
adam sandler has come a long way as an actor, and i thought he did very well portraying the feelings someone has who keeps the pain of emotional tragedy inside.
i'll never feel ok about all the damage caused by me when i was at my worst.. the movie also made me think about me and my relationships and us as a group of people affected by something so tragic in some cases.

Neat thing happened last nite...
by CaptainSchmideo inmy wife and i celebrated our anniversary last nite.
we were gonna go out to dinner, just the two of us, and leave our sons home with a pizza.
they are both in band at school, and my oldest just joined the school's jazz band last week (he plays clarinet and tenor saxophone.

How wonderful for you and your children! Wonderful that they can tune into their talents instead of getting their talents stifled by the WTS. When I hear of children getting to be 'free' of potential mind control of JWdom, I truly have joy.

Thank you, What a beautiful card!! I have to have my coffee w/computer too. Yes, me too,,I lost a few million brain cells with each child, and I had five kids. Now that a few of them have a child or two, they're always asking how did I do it all. I just don't know!?

A desperate time for JW as realisation inevitable dawns .....
by Gill inin time, slowly and inevitably, a lot of jws will realise that they have been conned.
they may deny it at first but eventually a substantial amount will discover that they have lost their lives, their talents and their potential to of all things, a book publishing company!.
so, what will their reactions be?

I do find I get a little excited now & then that possibly the WTS could take a good hit soon,,I thought that with the '75 fiasco, I was reeling internally,,many did leave, a sizable drop a few years, but then started increasing again,,then with things popping in the heart of Bethel, a witch (apostasy) hunt of governing body member & Bethelites in the early 80's, I hoped again,, then I quit hoping again for a good while,,now w/internet, mega-lawsuits on pedofile and blood issues, and minor decreases in first world countries, I hope again.

don't we wish there was just no military when this country began,,don't you wish there was no military here when Hitler arose and Japan military was taking over the East in the 40's, wouldn't our country be so much better,,don't you wish we didn't have a military now, I am sure everyone else in the world would be so happy and would all just be so nice to us,, oops,,we're not in heaven yet.

I got a call from an elder, he wants to come visit tomorrow.........

he was a family friend for years.....i saw him in the supermarket a few months back and he stopped and chatted to me for a while.....he rang me today to see if he can call in the morning for a cuppa......he says he isnt coming to preach...... he is one of those likeable people..........but has had a heart attack shortly after i saw him in the supermarket......he says he is okay now.. so i cant really see the point...........he is older; in his 70's.......and i think whatever we talk about i dont want to be responsible for putting his health at risk by opposing his beliefs.. am i missing an opportunity or should i leave well alone?.

If you just keep it real, nice & pleasant, sometimes it they start talking JW, just re direct it back to your comfort zone, your trips, your projects, your kids stuff (sports, school), your health, his health. He's old now, has made his choices, has health issues now. It does confuse/exaspirate them often times if you're basically happy & pleasant.
