  Higher Education - do you know any witnesses who are College Lecturers?

  it has become increasingly apparent that the society is currently taking a hard line on university/college education for the young.

  however, this policy must put some witnesses in an awkward position.

  i know of an elder who is a prominent university professor, in fact he is a world authority in his field of work, which is a medical area that seeks to better the lot of humankind in general.

  My children's cousin married a JW fella who teaches/lectures/whatever in a college in Oklahoma. Don't know how he has that all set in his head and conscience.

  Phone Call to my Mormon Aunt- she used to be a JW-It was wonderful.

  i have an aunt who is one year younger than me, she's my mom's youngest sister.. we have always been very close and were more like sisters.

  we were both baptised as a jw and were always together.

  around 2002, she became inactive then she got baptised as a mormon in 2004!

  Wonderful to be able to meet up with your aunt again. Best wishes! Will your mom have to know? But be cautious as Mormons are just as much out to convert you as JWs are out to do. So, maybe it's time to start checking out an ex-Mormon Discussion Forum also. Take care.

  im so happy ive got to tell someone!

  at the beginning of the year i made the final mental decision to leave the truth and fade.

  i havent been out in service or to a meeting in a long time.

  So happy for your experience! I guess the odds are getting greater for such an occurence since the greater percentage of youth are leaving the JW cult. But what great timing! Best Wishes!

  Just got my copy of "Crisis of Conscience"

  after finishing "combatting cult mind control" i decided to move on to the next logical book.

  i've read the first 100 pages of "crisis of conscience" and it's gone by really fast.

  now i know why this book is so important.

  I bring these books mentioned here in this thread to the West Phoenix ex-JW Meetup monthly to share/loan with others. I have other books written by x-JWs of their lives,,like "Out of the Cocoon", "Mother's Club",, and some one brought at the last Meetup "Has anyone Seen my Mother?." I got it and read it within a few days. Everyone goes on with their lives, some impacted in different ways more or less, but we all have a commoness of our past. Our group is diversified but we have a wonderful understanding support group, non-doctrinal and non-judgemental, and share even much humor with our unique past.
