A sister in our congregation who was second generation single mother of children by different fathers threw her 12 year old daughter out of her home for repeatedly breaking curfew. The child begged to return home. Mother refused and said to friends and other children, "**** was always bad." The young lady had a baby the following year. Two of her sisters had children in high school and the family moved away.
I have always wondered if that young girl's life would have turned out if mother handled the situation differently.

Thank you. I know you are right. I already know the answers. I alternate between having faith and trying to know all of the answers. I think "trying to find the answers in a book" is the result of the " regular spirtual feeding program" to which I became addicted.

IIbh, I converted at age 21. I think I know why I was seduced. I was idealistic and fell in love with a fairy tale. Like you, I met some many nice, caring people who I miss from time to time.

i heard that from many householders.

i always told them i was/am a christian.

now, after reading some of the old threads, i'm disturbed.

I heard that from many householders. i always told them I was/am a Christian. Now, after reading some of the old threads, I'm disturbed. The "other sheep" consider themselves Christian. My faith in Jesus never wavered. Maybe that's because of my Baptist upbringing.
Did I miss something all of these years?
Annointed=Christian?
Other sheep=Non-Christian?

A JW kid story

she is twenty.. as a teen i was very aggressive in her getting taught from the live forever book, om.

she studied my book of bible stories and young people ask!

she was obediant and compliant.

I'm glad your daughter is doing well. My daughter led a double life and I knew her conscience bothered her. I also knew she really wasn't a troubled child, just a teenager wanting to be normal. Thankfully, her stepfather kept me from being very strict. Now she's 22 and is still having some trouble adjusting to college. Please continue showing her unconditional love.

Step-Daughter Farks up Halloween.....

i finally get the wife to promise and dress up in costume to take our 3y/o out trick or treating with us!

i won right?

my wife spends hours getting ready, we blow off the dub school for the night, it's dark and our daughter is in her princess dress,..... .

Your stepdaughter was taught (by her mom or both you and her mom) that Halloween is wrong. Now just because you feel it's ok, doesn't mean she has to share your beliefs. She's a teenager and has grown up in this belief system. It's not going to be easy. Learn to pick yor fights. The best way is to reason with her. Putting her on punishment and making an issue of handing out candy defeats the purpose. Did her decision not to hand out candy stop her sister from going out trick or treating? It should not have. My daughter is 22 years old and I haven't celebrated Christmas since she was a toddler. I attend church services but she doesn't. I'm waiting until she comes home from college to feel her out in regards to putting up Christmas decorations. My goal is to reason with her and help her understand the dangers of WTS teachngs. I worry it may not be advantageous to froce her to celebrate the holidays until she is ready.
