JW Claims About Who Will Be Saved

we on this forum understand that the watchtower society will not hesitate to lie to the public in order to put its best foot forward.

many of us know that the society's media website, http://www.jw-media.org contains quite a bit of misleading information, such as on the shunning issue.

under the link to "their beliefs" -> "frequently asked questions" ( http://www.jw-media.org/beliefs/beliefsfaq.htm ) they ask the question, "do you believe that you are the only ones who will be saved?

Those who simply cease to be involved in the faith are not shunned...

LIE!!! I left and it destroyed my life – everyone I ever knew treated me like trash.

Disfellowshipping does not sever family ties.

LIE!!! I wasn't even DFed, I simply left and my family only contacts me on limited occasions. I’m now the “black sheep” of the family.

What gets readers on sites like this is that there is always deniability... the site, after all, is not the official web site and therefore does not speak for the WTS.

cruel?

i remember going on field service with a pioneer sister then afterwards she asked me to accompany her to look in on one of her studies, i said yes and ended up in the house of a really nice indian lady.

my friend had offered to take this lady's daughter off her hands for a while and take her down the park so off we went - nice summer day, we sat while the little girl played on the swings and slides, we brought a bit of food and went back to the park to sit down and eat, as we were eating, the girl started talking about armageddon.

the conversation was getting along nicely - little girl slowly being succesfully brainwashed...... the poor little 8 year old girl ended up in tears - she was scared of the earthquakes and didnt want to die, she didnt want her mother to die, and even though she believed they would both be together in paradise earth, her dad would die and stay dead, nothing my friend could to cheer her up so i coaxed her into going back on the swings and all was well till it was time for her to go home and the tears started again when she told her mother of her concerns.

That is some of the dumbest reasoning I have ever heard! The GB is strongly suggesting that the man's live was spared by the sky gawd because he didn't take the secular job.

They fail to realize that the statement also implies that the sky gawd was punishing all the people who died.

They actually think that they saved this man’s life because he decided to give up his carrier to serve their multinational corporation (WTBTS). The man being alive today is called “Dumb Luck”. Nobody had anything to do with his survival; he just happened to be in the right place at the right time, nothing more.

The GB is sick and arrogant!

Spirits/Entities - A question for all.

i would like to ask a question if i might: how do ones here view spirits?

(not the alcoholic kind) i have left the org.

now for at least 5 years, although i did go to the memorial last year, but not where i used to go to the hall; i was not df or da.. .
