by junctions-wife inmy 83 year old grandmother is very sick.
she has not eaten anything in two days, we tried chicken noodle soup tonight and she just drank the broth.
anybody have any kind of suggestions i will listen.

My daughter was very sick 1 1/2 yrs ago with Mono and Pneumonia at the same time. We didn't know what was wrong and she was losing weight fast. Scared me.
I went out and bought the Ensure drinks and she put weight on quickly.
Maybe you can add it to ice cream and feed her cold milkshakes...she doesn't have to know it's Ensure.

What makes a truly great kiss?

if my wife is, for example, preparing a meal i might be able to kiss her on the side of the neck while she's peeling the potato's.
i know what you're thinking, 'that nic's a smooth ol' romatic operator'!.

I don't know about kissing in the kitchen but I do know that I often get slam dunked in the oven when I bend over to put something in it.

as i predicted, he's being love-bombed by the congregation and invited out everywhere.
part of this is because he was very popular before and is a very likeable guy, but part of it is to try and suck him back in so thoroughly, he'll never be able to escape.

A Letter from a disfellowshipped JW
by reneeisorym inthere was a disfellowshipped jw that came to the witness now for jesus convention in pennsylvania.
we all tried to show him the error of the jw way but he is just so blinded that he couldn't understand what the problem is with jws (can you believe it?!
) we tried until we were blue in the face and it seemed that with every step we went forward with him one day, we went back two the next.

Just bought a NIV- whose name should I call on, Jesus or Jehovah?
by becca1 ini'm reading romans currently and as a life long witness and nwt reader i've always read romans 10:13 as "anyone calling on the name of jehovah will be saved'.
niv says "jesus" and the context seems to suppoet this quite clearly.
could anyone please comment on this??

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! He is the mediator between God and man. Kind of like a lawyer. When we stand before God the Father, Jesus is our advocate for anyone who trusts and believes on him. It is so awesome because when we have Jesus the Father sees us as clean and holy before him.
Just a little side note/study for you: the Passover in the OT is a foreshadowing of Christ to come. Death passes over those who are 'covered in the blood'. Check it out.

Can It Get Any Worse????

What's the BIG deal with Bethel?
by onlycurious ini was at my jw's friends house a few days ago and she had a jar on her counter that had "trip to bethel" written on it.. there was some chump change inside.
i never asked.
is bethel kind of like mecca?.

When one 'serves' at Bethel, is this without pay? Is this like a missionary headquarters or something? It this where all the literature is printed and all the decisions are made?
Also, is it encouraged for people to go and is there some sort of mighty tour?
