  Inner Peace

  do you feel more inner peace now or when you were serving as a jw?.

  no matter if the teachings were wrong, or not exact, i had more inner peace when i was "in".. i remember when i got operated for a hernia, and had to be put asleep, while i was a jw in good standings.

  i knew that god would resurrect me if ever something went wrong, and i didn't wake up from the operation.. today if i had to undergo an other similar operation, i'm not sure i'd have the same inner peace.. i think that no matter what religion you practise, no matter if it's false or not as false, you develop this inner peace, that may only be an illusion..

  The thing I find frustrating is that the JW teachings can still control our 'inner peace'.......they gave us false teachings which made us feel safe.....when we recognise those teachings to be false we lose our inner peace or safety net, yet many millions who are raised without those religious teachings conduct their lives apparently with peace or acceptance.....almost like they accept that life just is.

  The JWs instill fear with its teachings.....in or out.......its like a child losing its comforter.

  I think the answer is to look to those who have inner peace or acceptance without having being controlled by a religions teachings.......and discover what gives them their contentment.

  i havnt received mine yet, im just wondering how many others havnt either???

  just incase mine has been registered so it can be tracked.

  we have already had one bad experience this week, had to send on hubby's xbox console as it overheated and died, the post have "misplaced" it, im so glad we have it insured.. es.

  My SS gift that I sent has been received and thank you very much to Mis........she sent me a pressie back......thank you.....

  As I am not sure and believe that our recipients are different to the person who sends us a gift........so far I have not received anything......but I am not worried.......its christmas........yippee

  it started with a mass mail to my myspace friends, which caused nothing more than a few eyebrows to be raised.

  that was the reaction of people who know me in real life.

  You do know that there are kids starving and dying in this world, people whose lives are shattered by war, disease and poverty, people who will lose a child, a partner, a parent to some dreadful disease today, people who survive on a bowl of rice and dirty water.........

  In the bigger scheme, how important is all of this nonsense really!!!!!!
