All of us can have certain levels of mental illness but a psychiatrist is an MD that prescribes psych. drugs. A psychologist (counselor) will generally use various tools/techniques to work on a problem vs just medicating. I have never heard of a person going to a psychiatrist and not be prescribed some type of psych meds.

by Blueblades insometime ago a friend of mind visited several psychiatrists over a five year period.
he wanted to learn more about himself.
all he learned is that everybody has problems and that his shrinks had more problems then he did.. the watchtower frowns on the rank and file visiting psychiatrists.

I am a massage therapist so they are face down on a table. They don't have eye contact either so by being a good listener they realize that what they are saying is being heard. Without that understanding thier stress level goes up and then I have to work harder.

I was very shy as a kid but by the time I was in high school I had several good experiences that boosted my confidence. Right out of high school I trained as an firefighter/EMT. That career gave me alot of people skills by dealing with very sick, anxious and injured people. So dealing with people that are not sick or injured became a piece of cake.
My career now puts me in a room with another person for an hour. That is a textbook exercise in being able to start and maintain a conversation with anyone. Because I do not have eye contact with these people my language has evolved to be very descriptive.
Being a very deep listener and not ever interrupting someone is crucial. Right now I am still honing my skills in asking enough questions to show interest or concern but not so many as to sound nosey or prying. That seems to be a very fine line sometimes.

They allready have and they vote because in the US some states do not require proof of citizenship to register. It is totally out of control and 12 mil is probably a very conservative estimate.

Don't shoot the messenger. Alot of federal regulations are civil and have civil penalties. I had a run in with the FCC and all of it was civil, not criminal. BTW, I won!
The gov. makes money by levying fines on people not putting them in prison.

I do not want to repeat the health problems my parents and grandparents had. Almost all of them were preventable and atagonized by poor vitamin and mineral intake. I take a very broad spectrum high dose vit, mineral, amino acid, EFA and antioxidant supplement. When my dad was my age he had several health problems, none of which I have repeated.
Our health is one of those things that if we ignore it, it will go away.

I should have added that I had a surgical procedure earlier in the day and was heavily drugged. My wife got a me stack of movies since I was under house arrest. It may have been even funnier if I wasn't stoned. Or maybe the drugs made it better, either way I had tears going.
