I got shunned yesterday

man i love the feeling of power i get when people run away w/o me doing anything but beiing me.. but now that i think about it.

I think its worse when you are with a group of people and they can see that you are getting shunned.

Keep your head high you have nothing to be ashamed about.

Is it POOR PARENTING to raise a child into a religious faith?

surely we should teach our children how to think, not what to think.

equip them with the mental tools they need to be able to work things out for themselves.

If it all that you know.

For me its more of teaching my children in everything but the most important thing if for them to know from good and bad and right from wrong.

Need information concerning my infant child

hello all, i have been attending meetings for about two months, but have been reading about the truth for a year now.

our firstborn was on oct 7th, this year ;) however, my wife is in a c.o.g.i.c.

and because im not as humble as most, i often argue with her about the lies being told in her babylonian church.

However i am a little confused with your situation unless i am not reading it right.

You are only studying with the jw's?

my wife is in a C.O.G.I.C.

I'm not sure what that is.

But im guessing that your wife wants your child to be baptised now which i am guessing is a whole lot different to being baptised as a jw.

I'm sure someone here can help you more than what i can

here at uga, i studied in the micro-biology department for the first three years of college-organic chem 3 pretty much ended my career.

i think evolution is pretty sound sans the fact that they haven't answered the question of how life began.

Now to the point, if there is a God, why the hell would he allow something like this? Why would he listen to my prayers and let babies be born in such ways? I'm asking what ideas you here on the board have because I really do want to believe in God, but damn man, look at stuff like that and see the randomness in it! He don't do squat for man.... You know i often have wondered why would a kind god let be created humasn with such deformities and illnesses. Not only mental but also physical and some that you cannot even see

We ware taught that jeh is a loving god but how can he let this happen.

We are also told its from that we came from perfect but now that we are so far from perfection that these things happen.

For me i don't believe that there is a god.

I know that we were created but by whom is another matter.

We have eveolved over the many thousends of years and we can see this change but the technology that has happened and buy what human kind has accomplished.

It beats me if there is a god why he has let things go on for so long and if the bible is true will this system come to an end and who will be saved.???????

Another thing that also frustrates me is that it is written in the great big book the bible( for those who believe me im not sure) about homosexuality but yet it occurs with our humanity. Just a though

my happy bubble is deflating.

i'm looking at the richmond and toronto apostafest pics and i'm longing for company.. it's been a really long time since i enjoyed good company and warm friendship.

even before we became inactive our friendships with witnesses had waned.. i really am very social.

Chalenging i know how you feel.

Moving to a new area away from all close friend and trying to make new ones in such a close nit community is so hard.

There is nothing better than getting with other people and enjoying their company and swapping stories having a few drinks a meal or even just nibblies.

How many of you are still affected by "Armageddon?"

i know i am, or at least now i'm finally willing to admit it.

when making future plans, i still have "jehovah's day" in the back of my mind.

i never caught myself doing that until fairly recently, and i just realized that it was holding me back in many ways.

For me it was many years after i think up untill about 3/4 years ago.

It was mainly the thinking that the end was coming with any major storm that we had i always thought that i had done something bad and i was being punished... silly hey!!!

Also any other major event that was happening in the world like major earthquakes or any civil wars that would happen.

I think once you have been out for many years and you have gotten a different midset and that you can know that in your heart that you are a good person and that you deserve to live thats how you go on.

Now i don't know if this 'Armageddon' will ever happen in my lifetime or in my childrens life time or ever at all.

Look how long man has been on this earth. I guess im taking the way of if it happens it happens.

This is a great book!!!!!

I used to have it but gave to my brother for a wedding present and now wished i had it again for my parents and i even tried to explain it to my dad too... but thats another story.

Its so true on how you need your love tank full so that you are happy and satisfied.

We all have different ways it can get kept full and if you both know what keep them full you have a great relationship.

For me its when things get done like the the house is kept clean but i also like quality time too.

I can highly recommend if anyone is having marriage troubles to read it together.

Though it is also bible based too.
