we did this in the past and it was such fun to get all the great cards.. .
I have sent about 10 already so some of your should be getting cards soon.
Wasn't sure on how long it would take to sent the cards to you all over in the U.S.
I ran out and had to wait till i went to the shops to get more!!!!!
Will be sending more today.If anyone collects stamps and would like more than one stamp on the evelope pm me.

in seeing a lot of posters threads , i feel i see many people who have been divorced at one time , and either have remarried or have stayed single .
i totally understand those who choose to stay single, as i was single for 6 years before i got married again !
as experts say, next to death it's one of the hardest experiences you'll go through !
My situation is a little unusual but i have known other who have been through the same.
I married my non-jw b/f at the age of 18 1/2 he was 19 1/2 so we were young.
He wasn't the first b/f i had but my first 'partner' all was good for a few years we had our daughter the basically one day i came home and said i no longer love you any more and we split up, 6 months later i started living with another guy for about 3 years.We divorce 12 months later.
That ended then i ahd a few casual relationships then i met another guy who we were together for about 10 months.
My ex hubby was living with someone for a few years as well.
Come mid 2002 we started talking again and both had different outlook in life and we decided that he was going to move in downstairs to help look after our daughter while i was at work and i guess things snowballed from there.
We now have been back together since jan 2003 and have 2 children together.
Life is good and we get on so well.
I guess we needed the break to get ourselves sorted.

we are great friends now....but he wasn't much of a father growing up.. worked all the time...we went on few vacations....pretty much pussy whipped my my nazis jw mother.. he never did believe in the whole jw thing.
he just when along with it, for my mothers sake.. she never did respect him for not being a "spiritual head" and pretty much let us kids know about it.. i, like my mother became very self rightious and judgmental.. i wished now he had just came to me just once and said "keith maybe the jws are not the people you think they are.
" but he was to afraid of my mother to say that...even though he knew it to be true.i would have never believed him....back then....but it would have planted a seed.... .
I have spoken many times here about my dad, so i guess he is a pivitol person in my life.
My dad married my mum in 1974 and i know for a fact that he had asked many sisters to marry him but had turned him down ( unsure of the reasons) anyway when he met my mum that was it they were married 6 months later. Honestly i think my mum didn't know who she was marrying.
They only got divorce jan 07
He is now remarried in April 07
I know my dad has taken the headship role too seriously by the the way of planning EVERYTHING i mean everything my mum never had a say in what would happen, i guess in a way it was good for her in the begginging but later in years i think it took a toll on her.
My dad is a work-a-holic ad i guess thats where i get it from too.
He always held the jw's up high they were the most important thing
He was a fantastic provider but just couldn't provide the emotional support for my mum.
He always helped out more than anyone in the kh but then would get $hitted on from them as well.
I had a close relationship with him. Now its cold and made harder by geography.
Loves my daughter to death.
My son he hasn't had much to do with.

i will then collate the names and addresses and assign everyone a person to buy a gift for.

and 40 years a wta has not given me a great sense of what's real: crazy rules and regs on "appropriate behavior.".

For me i think its a nice thing when men hold the door open for women.
Its great when they do the 'men' things.
But i think society has now got us all on equal levels now and those things are far gone. Even on dates most will split the bill or take it in turns to pay.
You will get the occasional man who will do these things but not very ofter and these are men who are in their late forties on ward.
Though i know some guys do it to impress their new girlfriends as i think it is an inbuilt comodity for women that men should do this.

since the 'incident' with trevor and company, do you feel you cannot trust people here anymore?
i don't mean online in general, i don't mean in your day to day life i mean on this site.. i think some of us have taken a direct hit right where trust was and the issues are starting to become apparent on this site.
i'm not referring to individuals but rather the general feel of the site - it feels like the site has developed a limp.
In some things there will be a few while will be sceptical when someone announces they have an illness.
But i think the majority of us have put it behind them and moved on.

however, i never feel that i 100% believed it all, even at the point of baptism.. i think after the initial period of 'love' shown on the part of the brothers, i must have only been a baptised brother for about 4 years when i knew it was all wrong on so many different levels.. i remember a sister saying to me "once they have got you under the water, that's when you see the real way they treat you".
it all changed after baptism.

tonight i am going to be driving down to st. helens (not far from liverpool) with an aunt to drop off her car at a friends garage and then coming back with her, fortunately her friend is lending her a car otherwise we'd be stuck there lol.. saturday i am going to a bon-fire with family minus mum and stepdad (don't get me wrong i wish they were there).. sunday - no idea.... .
Well its now saturday morning for me.
Last night i do athletics with my kids and i have every friday off.
Today wil be a kinda lazy morning just doing a little housework and if it stays fin will mow the yard then have to leave for work at 3pm and then get home from work at 1am.
Sunday will consist of hopefully a small sleepin and get up and leave for work for midday and get back home about 4 in the afternnon and cook dinner and have an early night.
