  i just want to let everyone know that i have edited versions of dateline's "witness for the prosecution" online at http://207.218.192.12/~davisonline/dateline.txt and http://207.218.192.12/~davisonline/dateline.pdf.

  i say "edited" because i removed the video descriptions and corrected a few errors in the one that was sent to me.

  i think most people will find it helpful.

  Goodbye for now!

  my parents made it clear to me that while i'm under their roof, i can't have _any_ communication with apostates.

  obviously, that would rule out this group; so until i move (hopefully in a couple of months or so), i must be on a forced hiatus!

  'Give me one reason I shouldn't be a JW.'

  what would you say if a close friend was to come to you and say: "i've secretly been studying with jehovah's witnesses and i plan to join their organization.

  i know how you feel about the witnesses, but i truly feel that they are god's chosen organization.

  i don't really want to hear anything negative about the society, but out of respect for our friendship, i'll let you briefly mention one reason why i shouldn't.

  you know, i'm somewhat shocked that there's no kind of singles area of the site.

  how great would it be (for me, at least) to find a great ex-witness lady?

  i guess no one is too worried about it though.

  Defacing Watchtower materials

  hey, folks.

  just curious: did any of you ever deface your magazines?

  i had a friend growing up in the congregation and, kids that we were, we'd snap up our new watchtowers and awakes and we'd draw our own captions for the pictures, usually with hilarious results.

  JW Rules That Are Just "Too Much"!

  i think a good, general one is r-rated movies.

  my father, an elder, is willing to speak with me about the society's view of disfellowshipping.

  i actually think that today i put a chink in his armor about the whole thing.

  i'm pretty new here (five minutes old!

  ) and i'm curious: how many have left the organization and, in time, become athiests.

  i was raised in the organization, so growing up, my thinking was -- of course -- stifled.
