Hi Roberto
Is there a way to watch the program with subtitles?
swiss tv program my reaction to the tv forum participants.
this afternoon, william heinzer, the journalist who, together with florence, were responsible for the swiss tv program called me and confirmed that, although this program on jehovahs witnesses has been the one which had the highest number of interventions in the tv forum, they had to withdraw the forum, because of the atrocious allegations made against myself and my two kids, fulvio and amanda.. i planned to copy and publish on my site, a selection of the jw and ex.jw posts, just to show the low moral of these people, who pretend to worship the true god.
even ex-jw, whom i know pretty well, and who were expelled for immorality, but still believe the jw are jehovahs only people, have spit their venom against us.
Hi Roberto
Is there a way to watch the program with subtitles?
i just finished reading the 9/15/2010 wt study edition article for nov 8-14, and the last few sentences of paragraph 7 on page 18 jumped out at me.
referring to the "one association" which i assume means the jw organization, the author says "... where else can we turn?
nowhere else can we hear the sayings of everlasting life.
Hi InterestedOne and welcome!
Your perceptions of this organization and its subtle methods are spot on. They are masters at the double-speak and loaded language and your ability to ask deep questions and see through the the vagueness is unnerving to them. Keep doing what your doing. Go in to your study armed with knowledge from excellent websites like jwfacts.com and freeminds.org. Nothing alarms a Witness more than someone who knows more about their organization than they do. You may even help your "teachers" to think more rationally.
But be warned. If you keep asking deep, involved questions your teachers will start to back off and declare you "not of the right heart condition to accept the "truth"" or "too intellectual and not humble enough" for it.
In other words, you're not stupid enough.
Good luck, and well done.

Oh my word, that was funny! scarily funny.
i'm admitting to be very pissed off.....and bitter.
i'm sick of having no job security (i know its relative), but mostly because i did not go to college....... has anyone gone back to school post 40?
how was the experience?
wow, thanks for that info nugget. I've been interested in psychology for a while and was wondering how to further my interest. I'm 46 and felt too old for college. I'll get some info from the OU website and see what they offer.
does anyone know the requirements that should be met for someone to have this privilege?
i have been added to the list and don't feel i meet the requirements..
Develop a severe case of tourettes, that'll get you off the list.
todays watchtower was especially nauseating but during the study one of them made the comment concerning the big a " jehovahs timetable is not contingent on all nations being saturated by the good news".
the study conductor reafirmed his point and then continued.. wait a fuggin minute!
there are 1.4 billion chinese on the earth and only 40 million profess christianity.

WT is so centered on "the end" arriving any day that a further preaching work opening up in the (essentially) untouched part of the world is beyond them.
And with that I reckon you summed their whole attitude up nicely. The whole premise behind the recent statements about the preaching work being mostly complete is down to the fact that they don't want to preach anymore. Everyone's tired and fed up - and the end still isn't here!. So when they think about the billions that still haven't heard the message, a reasonable excuse has to be found. Thats why they trot out the "collective responsibility" label and the examples of only fishing in certain areas.
This sort of thinking makes the rank and file feel better. They don't have to worry about preaching for decades longer and to billions more, and it means the GB can continue to push that the end is still sooo very close.
my husband has been talking to a jw about business but the jw keeps inserting jw crap (i told my husband this would happen).
i'm not worried about my husband listening to this man (my parents' negative example had taken care of that) but it is interesting and a tad disconcerting to watch how this jw man tries to rope my husband in.
[11/6/10 7:10:18 am] tom : :d. [11/6/10 7:10:22 am] hubby: that's what it's all about!.
What a great conversation! Hubby is the master at stringing this guy along, it could be a golden opportunity to open Tom's eyes to a few real truths. How about hubby asking a few pointed questions to get the guy doing some real research?
Could be fun
as each instance of shunning happens to me, it seems even more ridiculous than the last.. this weekend i took our kids to the park - wife opted out, understandably - and we let our daughter call my parents to inform them we'd be there.
this was my first time in the presence of my parents since our df announcement two weeks ago.. my mom and dad were 10-20 feet away much of the time and yet they never said a greeting or.. well anything.
at one point my daughter, who is aware of the shunning, mistakenly thought my mom called my name and shouted excitedly, "mawmaw, were you talking to daddy??
Hi Sweets
This is a paragraph from my disassociation letter which may be worth considering in relation to your mum.
If, based on this decision, my brothers and sisters choose to follow WT policy and reject me, it will not be the rejection that saddens me but the closed minds of those who blindly follow the laws of men without “making sure of all things” for themselves. For whilst those men in positions of leadership carry a heavier responsibility, it does not give an excuse to those who choose to follow such men without question.
it's no good just to go through the motions.
to achieve jehovah's blessings, the brothers and sisters must have the right heart motivation; to conduct their work in joy and love and remind themselves that the load is not burdensome.. but what if the work is boring and burdensome?
what if in the organization and scheduling of "god's organization", the spirit of the law has been lost?.
If the front door is open - don't knock
If there's loud music coming from the house - don't knock
If the owner is out front - don't knock
If the owner is out back - don't knock
If there's a dog asleep on the porch - don't knock
If there's a dog barking in the house - don't knock
If there's another 2 hours to kill to get your time - walk r-e-a-l slow.
If it looks like rain - head for Sister Elderly's house to "encourage" her, and still count the time.
"Pour your heart into every assignment"......???
Yeah, right.
google_ad_section_start hi everyone, i am just new to this site and thanks for a very dear friend that has encouraged me to post my story and would love to hear feedback from all you out there xx.
this is my story.
we were introduced to the religion in 1982, not soon after we were unbaptized publishers (a bit to soon for me even at that age) i really didnt miss the celebrations as much as were werent that well off and my parents worked 6 days a week to pay the bills.
I'm so sorry you went thru this awful ordeal. Its ridiculous how much damage untrained and insensitive elders can do to a young mind! Couldn't they see you hadn't a clue what molesting even was about??
I've got 4 kids and its obvious when I'm talking "over their heads". Elders are real dumbasses sometimes.
Take courage my friend. You are a great father and a good man. Know this and relax and enjoy your kids.
