  JW's are able to give gifts anytime, not just holidays, BUT DO THEY?

  otherwise, the wife recently purchased some fancy gifts for her family members.

  ready to send home, i asked her how her df'ed sibling would feel being left out.

  In my family, yes, we used to give gifts all the time.
  I learned my generosity from my mother.
  We used to find things and say, "I think Sis. Whatsherface would like this" then buy it for her.
  Perhaps we were in the minority...

  if you are an elder who frequents this site, please let me know.. i am trying to connect (completely anonymously - your privacy is assured) with as many elders as i can.

  i know that there are hundreds of elders in the same position as myself (have had our awakening and have come to realize that "the truth" is a sham).. i encourage you to continue to serve as an elder and for you to work together with other like minded elders as a collective force for true good.

  there is much we can do from the inside to help the cause.. there are thousands and indeed millions of kind and honest hearted people whose only crime is that they have allowed themselves to be deceived and are still active jws.

  Blueblades is referring to the SeptKM question box, where the society "does not endorse" any independant group study.
  basically it is a ban on doing research that the society has already done for you.
  So don't make sure of all things, just listen to the society.

  i called hq under this guise: i am an interested person who has two jw'svisiting me periodically.

  i think they are very nice people and we have good conversations,but recently something disturbed me.

  i was suprised that they had no knowledge of the recent lawsuit settlements and actually denied it was true.

  Here's a trick for you if you want to talk directly to Legal and "make up" complex sexual situations that need WT advice. Elders are advised to tell the switchboard when they answer "I am an elder in calling to speak with Legal." No questions asked, you'll be transferred.
  
  The elder in legal who answers will ask for two things: your name and congregation number. (Note: You can get an elder's name from the bookstudy list and the congregation number off any correspondence or literature packing slips posted on the information board at any KH.)

  Hmmmm... I know quite a few elders names and cong numbers.
  If anyone has the balls to do this, I could give a few out.
  And just for anonymity, I would dial *67 before you call. You can't have your area code and state not match.

  Affidavit for a court custody battle with a JW mom/Non JW dad

  what kind of things would you put in an affidavit to the court for a custody hearing - list them out in this thread for me so that i can disperse each point across multiple pages, making a strong case.

  i will start:.

  blood transfusions: - jw children are refused blood transfusions that could save their lives.. how about school sports, flag salute, military service, discouraging college education, keeping "seperate from the world", armageddon teachings, etc.. help we fill in a little wordy description and elaborate on each point in this post - it would be very much appreciated!.

  if you are filling out a legal document, you would definitely want to use proper spelling.

  i have a ps2, psp, and xbox.

  i was mainly an xbox kind of guy until they completely abandoned it soon after the 360 was released.

  I have NES, Atari, GameCube, PS2, Sega Genesis, Gameboy
  as you might guess I am a fan of Nintendo.
  I do enjoy the FF series from SquareEnix (including KingdomHearts). I especially love the Zelda series. I have played all of them except Oracle of Ages/Seasons.

  was talking to a dub last night and he was telling me about the great new kh their building.

  he was saying that he and his wife have joined the rbc.

  he was gushing about all the new projects they have in the works (an assembly hall in howell mi, and a couple of kh's.

  you said it! I get pioneer credit hours for going to the Qbuilds. I could get 50-60% of my time for the month.
  Nothing better than taking half the month off and going to a Qbuild.

  I know all JWs I have talked to (and I have to do it low profile - still in the borg) have acted like doing group study outside of the WBTS material is treason and those doing it should be hanged, not have a Question box.
