  Death, is death our only destiny?

  soon after we arrive on this earth, we become aware of the most fundamental fact of our existence, that we won't be here very long.

  an average life span lasts less than 30,000 days.

  we sleep a third of that time, so the days we experience number less than 20,000. we may try, but we can't ever completely deny our mortality.

  Death ... well

  I've been strangulated once (to the point to not feel anything) and thrown in the hole of the stairs from the second floor head first (it went so quick in the sec I was in the air) ... since then every day of life is already a bonus ... Lucky me.

  I truly don't know what I should fear about death (the one we know about) whatever will or won't happen after. Though I'm a believer so I feel quiet confortable with death (the fear is more about how painfull it would be for me before to die and the sad part is more about the baby - which is a man now I will leave alone on here - but he is big enough).

  Again I don't care cheating (... it's all contextual about the why and stuff - so everything is still to be considered) But I care about respect ... I mean you can have fun without me but I don't want to pay the bill (in any way) and if you're lying to me just to hold an (other) warm place instead of just being honest (to set me as free as you feel or need to be somehow) that's when things will get very cold up in here !!!

  I like men which have balls (*) in this contexte too (not scared to say the truth - not scared to lose - they face it and are ready to pay the bill) Whoever is scared to lose anything (and even more because of his/her own actions) is already a loser (but most of the time they appear as cheaters first which is lower than being a loser) ...

  BASIC thinking....a TEST of how rational we are.

  hint: this is a trick question.

  Can someone please tell me, yes or no: Is Terry saying that abstract concepts are not real and so do not really exist, and that only concrete things are real?

  Now that was smart LisaBObeesa ... and so simply put ... but if he had put it this way he would have realised how limited rationnaly it was regarding EVERYTHING ... since people don't care about NOTHING - but only when they want something out of nothing (read in between the lines) and more over when everything and nothing can be put into perspective contextually.

  Bascally this was not a test about rational thinking ... (you had two answers for each question) - because for instance when someone kill somebody else because he hated him (for what ever reasons rational or not) the one who have been killed could have been rational enough or not to get scared of the one who killed him. but one thing is sure then the Hate was Real !!!

It's really touching to see you want to do all those things for your mother (since you can) but think a bit about yourself - your mother have nurses now (if it helps to see her that often why not) but if not ...   Terry,

  what I mean is that in getting into too much details you are yourself getting into irrational conclusion by generalisation based on your point of view on some matter (for example there was no need to get into the subject by generalisation about believers: like scared and therefore slaves (1) ... it's just not true for me as a believer for instance, so I can't buy all your stuffs.

  (1) you can be slave of anything from what you are scared of (scared of believing because it will ruin your life for instance – but if you look around you’ll realised that believing doesn’t ruins every believers life and that they also all do not ruins other peoples lifes).

  It's like you want to sell your baby in every bath (since you can be rational why not just stay rational on the subject) And that (to me) is the most interesting part to notice when I’m reading you.

  Language barrier? Hummmmmmm ... Interesting ... why not but maybe we are not interested in the same matter into the development and conclusions (as being interesting to notice).

  For instance you want to stay on scientific bases (to not fall into what can without proof being stated by any as irrational) but at the same time you are throwing personal irrational arguments which can be contested. (Why? Keep them away)

  But expecting everybody to understand everybody would be irrational in fact anyway (not totally and accurately measurable but a fact). So you might keep your generalisation about believers for instance away next time and including them when they are contextually true (2) instead of trying to sell them for (to me) irrational / personal reasons.

  (2) Believers scared and slaves for JW’s – well I can agree on this generalisation globally because of their specific belief and for some other religions too … but not for all believers.

  I don’t buy this kind of generalisation and development because it’s abrainwashing system (depending of the how is considered the material by the reader – or - since you don’t know yet what the writter is talking about you still have to consider what is written who knows it could be interesting) and your technique reminds me how the JW reasoning book have been written in throwing arguments out of context and turning around subjects with too much information and generalisation (3) to the point that the reader forget about what is important to notice or to enquire on (= why the details? / How much are they accurate / relevant? And if not, what is the purpose of the diversion – which is finally the most important to notice). That’s why I don’t like details, when the concept would be enough, BUT the details become interesting when I’m interested to know why the details.
  
  (3) and from hearing the same things so much they finally buy them … as if they have been demonstrated.

  i will try to make this brief but how can you abbreviate love and kindness?

  this is truly amazing!!!!

  as many you have seen i ran into a small glitch on the forum the last couple of threads, without going into detail and really not necessary as there have been plenty of comments and views on both threads, i was willing to walk away from the forum because this is my nature as paul said in .
