Poppers I've read your next answer ... and well ... I just don't know how you can come up to think that taking experience in consideration can be an handicape (not sure that is what you said and is talking about in fact) ... Again I guess you are mixing things here means something like not letting our past screwing our present and future life (and i'm ok with that) but that's an other topic to me.

I understand about who you'd listen to as specialists. Now when it comes to state that God does not exist : Who is the expert really ?
A total lack of evidence ... doesn't tell anything ... but the lack of evidence or knowlege to get it (not more not less)what is reasonable in stating anything further from that? AND I'm not talking about the God of the bible ... I'm talking about God as essence (now that's an other topic) it would be just fair to not put everyone in the same basket (from your own personnal ex beliefs)

This is not to dismiss those events but to not let those events obscure the freshness of life as it actually is unfolding before you in this very moment. Most people are living lives based on memory and projection of mind into a future fantasy and completely miss what's actually real right before them. Devoid of analysis, judgment, and label what is here right now? That's reality.
Popper ... Please read my post again ... and read yours again please ... I don't think that you understood what I am talking about and you seems to mixe the matter of reality and how to deal with the everyday life regarding reality (if experience don't count in reality what is the reality all about? only about the NOW? Yes there is a big difference ... and that's the whole thing ... when it's about experiences ... there are things that I've experience alone and then I can still think : was this about my imagination, coincidences or what ? ... But there are things that WE (my familly) have experienced together (visual - and effective) ... then you can't deny it's about reality ... And if you have not experienced that, you can't accept that as a reality ... And when you have experienced it you can't deny it ... (what would good in lying to myself?)

Is it that you feel that people should forget about the bible or any book or someone else's view on the matter but reality? (I'm ok with that)
But now about reality : it is still their reality, from their experiences (do you have everybodies experiences? to state that a belief which look like something you haven't in your experience is not real?

however, let's just say for the sake of argument, that all religions including the witnesses, are wrong but the bible in itself is right.. everything that it has foretold is going to happen and just as god told noah, in 7 more days i am going to make it rain, but this time he now speaks to all of us and says in just 7 more days i will wipe the earth clean of all those who have or are revolting/disagree against me.. how would you react then?

In general, the higher your IQ and the more education you have, the greater the probablity that you'll not believe in god. Therefore, in general again, atheists tend to be very bright, well educated people, people to whom reasoning and ideas are very important.
which IQ matter it is about? (those that we think that we can mesure by now and to which degree BTW?) Does that mean that you're likely be influenced by anyone who put's his degree or IQ in your face ... Like some are more influenced by money, or famous people? (if not all together).
when this question is raised, at the end of most scientific reviews, what I can hear in the conclusion by scientists themselve is WE DON'T KNOW FOR SURE ... That's smart and talks about their IQ level (when it comes to really answer to this question as a fact), since they can't prove anything about the BIG QUESTION.

Now if any "high IQ or low IQ" (it's still a moot point when people dont really want to think but just follow) thinks that he/she can prove that God does not exist ... maybe he/she thinks he/she thinks like a scientist him/herself (when scientists are cautiaus enough to not go that far when it's time to concluded all together) Or maybe he/she thinks that he/she is God? and that's just very limited IQ talking (a fact is a fact, a not proved theory is a not proved theory and an opinion is an opinion) if any goes further than that, forget about trying to prove that his/her IQ is higher.
But I'm NOT (add since the NOT was missing) surprised that a lot of Atheists wants to believe it's a question of IQ tho ... (It talks)

Physically : Well I'm not into giving the other cheek ... I'd rather run away or kick asses ... Sorry I'm not ready yet for that ... give me a thousand years to get there ...Verbally : it depends ... if there is something to defend I will just because I want to, otherwise I can turn the other cheek as much as I want too either (I mean do not expect me to always turn the other cheek you might get a slap too, with or without insult) but truly I don't think that insulting people really helps in any matter.

Not allowed to sleep over - is that weird?
by collegegirl21 inokay, so my guy and i have been together for 10 months and we usually are ok together.
but there is something that has been getting to me and i think its unusual, but please correct me if i'm wrong - he won't let me sleep over at his house.
and he hardly ever stays at my house, he's maybe stayed here 3 times in our whole relationship.
