by faundy injust to let everyone on here who knows my dad, that he is seriously ill, and unfortunately on life support.
he has renal and respiratory failure as a result of the quickest onset of pneumonia i have ever seen... it came on in the early hours of this morning.
he is waiting for an intensive care bed but the nearest one is 200 miles away.

heard a bit about this on npr... seems the uaw wont play ball with the congress on this bailout plan and now the whole deal is dead in the water (again).. is there an echo or did i mention 'entitlement" and something about a "poor excuse for a labor union" about the uaw before?.

We've heard over the years of the CEO's of the Big 3 making millions in bonuses and salary despite the poor performance AND we've heard about the UAW janitors making 67 bucks an hour. At the same time we've been buying more foreign cars. This TOO BIG TO ALLOW THEM TO FAIL has to stop with BANKS and CARS.
IF we bail them out demand a whole effing lot more from both the UAW and management. -

Blood Issue took my mom last night
by rwagoner inafter years of fighting a physical disability that ended in kidney failure and several bouts of respiratory/cardiac arrestmy mom landed in the hospital last week.
the doc's said she needed heart surgery and kidney transplants but before they could operate they need to get her blood count back up.
it had fallen well below what her body could naturally restore on its own she she needed transfusions.
