JWD support and comfort for those in need

i don't know how you feel but i am pleased to be part of a community that cares about fellow members.

although we may not know individuals in person, we get a "sense" of many of our fellow posters especially if we have been here for any length of time.. several of our fellow posters have experienced terrible tragedies that result in financial nightmares.

i don't know how all of you feel, but i would rather give directly to someone in need than through a charity.

Has JWD made you more or less Spiritual?

I guess it is my turn.

Before coming to JWD, I was a cold, bitter person, no one has ever given me a hand. I have worked hard for everything I have and if I were to fall no one would be there to help me up. The Borg with their complete lack of love, had made me not care about other people, (With the exception of Barbara and our adopted daughter.) no one mattered to me.

I was going to give some examples; but, I am not yet ready, to tell you all, how cold I truly was.

Now, I am trying to be a better person, to help others without the need for a payback. I know now that if I were to fall my JWD family would be there for me and I am here for you all.

I am a more Spiritual person, thanks to many of you, thanks for helping me to be a better person.

GETTING EVEN WITH JUNK MAILERS.....

we all get junk mail, or applications for credit cards we don't want or even asked for.

i got six applications in the mail today.

i've phoned these numbskulls before and told them to stop sending me this stuff, as i don't want their credit cards.

If the junk mailer is in TX attach the junk mail return envelope to a sandbag.

If the junk mailer is in CA attach the junk mail return envelope to a 5 gallon water bottle.

Happy Independance Day

it's the fourth of july around the world, but it means so much more to americans, as our independence from oppressive rule gives us the freedoms, liberties and rights that man has longed for for centuries.

take a moment, please, to celebrate the freedom of religion that allows jw's to practice their faith with freedom, and allows us to speak freely about what displeases us about their freedom!

Long time members, how do you cope with so much tragedy on this forum?

i have only been here for six months and i can see why so many people have to leave or at least take breaks from this forum.. what are you doing to cope?
