  Anyone find any decent pro-Witness sites?

  as i've mentioned a few times before, i'm working on a round of articles for austin cline's site.

  the final "big daddy" article is an evaluation: is the wts a controlling, harmful cult?

  but i don't plan on doing an attack article.

  WT Approved Grounds For Divorce

  i was hoping to confirm something for an article i'm working on.

  i was told that the only acceptable grounds for divorce are adultery and a husband failing to support his wife financially.

  i don't believe apostasy counts, does it?

  DFing because of doubts

  i was looking in the insight book under dfing (it refers you to expelling instead) and found the following list of reasons for dfing:.

  some of the offenses that could merit disfellowshipping from the christian congregation are fornication, adultery, homosexuality, greed, extortion, thievery, lying, drunkenness, reviling, spiritism, murder, idolatry, apostasy, and the causing of divisions in the congregation.. it sounds like doubt in god and/or the wt would all be grounds, but where do they fit under the list?

  would they label this as idolatry or apostasy, maybe?

  i was just wondering why people fade instead of just quitting right away.

  going inactive isn't enough to get dfed, is it?

  i was never dfed, though my meeting attendance had been on again off again for months before hand.

  Are there any recent articles on atheists?

  i wrote a review of the most recent anything i could find on atheists/atheism in my essay, but that article goes all the way back to '95!

  (i used my 2005 cd to find it) the next closest one is in the mankind's search for god book, which was published '90.

  i was just wondering if there's anything more recent that anyone knows of, or maybe even post if it's not on the 2005 cd?

  the delusion of certitude pt 1. and how we, the "the lost sheep," help them maintain it.

  no one has enough information about the universe to truly know if they have "the truth.

  " to me, anyone who claims to have the absolute, ultimate truth of everything is literally claiming to have absolute knowledge.

  i think my essay is finally nearing completion.

  everytime i think that, i find something else to work on.

  but one section talks about my belief that they have (what i call) the delusion of certitude.

  Research question on "true religion"--for exWitnesses

  i am nearly done with my writing project about why i went from a jw to an atheist.

  whether you are an atheist or not, i was just wondering what you thought about the biblical signs that the society points to as proof that it is the "true religion.

  " the essay is basically a breakdown of why i reject the society's claim to being the "true religion" and i was looking for specific arguments that i hadn't already thought of.. i'm tempted to post this essay somewhere once it's complete, but i don't know where i would since it's looking to be between 40-50 pages long.
