Cool experiment if not practical.
The last dozen or so links at the bottom of the page at the next link feature
flight with wingsuits, only practical if you're near a cliff, flight that's
only practical if you have a jet pack, and Franz Reichelt, who wasn't practical.

Food For Logical Thought...
by braincleaned insometimes we waste hours and hours debating a subject like the flood, and the impossible scientific and evolutionary consequences that it entails.
we go into great debates about how all of is is possible, what a "kind" means (species, obviously not)... etc.... but believers will not stop believing... so here is something even a child would think of more logically:if god is all powerful and love why would he have not just made the wicked drop dead, painlessly?
simply, humanly.

PS to my earlier post:
The basic concepts of God and atheism don't come with character determinants,
names for God, interventions, etc. All-beneficence is an added stipulation I
wouldn't recommend: if God were all-beneficent we'd all live in heavenly circum-
stances forever and we don't. Nothing of ethics or the known things prove God
whether God exists or not. Giving the bad things of the world as proof God isn't
is as illogical as giving intelligent design as proof God is. -

I see no logical impossibility. I make the analogy of believing in God
presiding over life as being like believing in life with its good and bad. If
you can do that, you know how someone can do it. With God you can add a hope for
a nice afterlife as sweetener on the deal. -

Casual sexism in Watchtower literature
by slimboyfat ini notice the sexist language of the watchtower a lot more these days.
is it on the increase or am i simply more tuned into to noticing it now?

Unsurprisingly, the GB has a conservative stance on complimentarianism:

The Watchtower Writers need to answer this question "Atheism, not religion, is the real force behind the mass murders of history!"
by ÁrbolesdeArabia inhow come the watchtower will not side with christendom and address a topic like the following?
what if christendom had allowed islam to spread it's plunder into europe without a fight and great force?
i direct your attention to islam spreading not as a distraction, but to ask the question most atheist have asked me when we talk of this subject.

Centric intolerance by believers and non-believers has caused the most harm.

The great R&B singer Bobby Blue Bland passes
by designs inone of the legends of blues and r&b bobby was born in rosemark tennessee and shortly after his family moved to memphis where his singing career began with local church gospel groups.
after a stint in the army in the early 50s bobby began touring with johhny ace, bb king and junior parker.
bobby sang some of the best blues recorded in the 50s and 60s with i pity the fool, ain't no love in the heart of the city, the much covered farther up the road and the shinning turn on your love light.

MLK, RFK, Stephen Colbert, etc.: liberal.
The GB is conservative with feigned distinctions that can cause needless harm,
such as due to the GB policies on blood and shunning. Worse, they send cus-
tomers through the public for more customers while holding them to overdone
shunning rules to discourage association with those who could expose the con-
trivances used to affect those distinctions. By definition that includes groups
with the purpose of correcting misinformation to stop needless harm.
