Tally,
My husband and I were up late last night discussing this very thing. He has never seen illustrations like this from WT pornography, but I will show him your thread and he will see how little difference there is between groups who rejoice over the death of anyone.
There IS no difference!
Thanks for your post

stone phillips just reported via cel phone that a bomb sniffing dog has alerted police to something in the empire state building.
they are evacuating everyone, including reporters to several blocks away.. ugh.
i hope the dog is wrong.. if there is really a bomb in there, i fear for big tourist attractions, like disney world :( :( :( :( :(.

Now CNN is confirming that they are also evacuating Penn station...
i hope all of you are doing okay in light of this terrible tragedy we have witnessed.
it makes me want to join the army or something, it's hard to sit back and do nothing.
upon watching the watchtower's new pr video of the terrorist act in new york city, it is as far away from the reality of what happened as an isolated community can be.
Here's a question for y'all, "If you were president of the Watchtower, what would YOU do to help the people of New York?"
What would I do? What would I do???
Well I'd start with RationalWitnesses suggestion, each bethelite with clean bill of health donates blood.
Then, I would get those huge kitchens cooking for rescue workers. I'd empty out the infirmary of supplies and medical personnel and send them to the site. I would contribute funds to the relief work. I would volunteer any and all available resources to help get the families, and rescue workers through this.
How many people could they house in those residences??? Thousands??? And there were police officers SLEEPING ON THE SIDEWALK last night while the Bethelites were all snug in their beds, thanking Jehovah that their brothers were safe.
Excuse me while I vomit.

i have not been posting here for long and i am trying to get a "feel" for the makup of the group.
i thought about telling my story in the personal experiances area but chickened out.
i have noticed that the majority of the posters here are xjw's but there seem to be a few active jw's.
Hi there...
I was born into a JW family, baptized at 12, became 'inactive' at 25 and was disfellowshipped at 26. My daughter is still being taken to meetings by my ex husband and my family is still in. My daughter would be the fifth generation of my family 'in' if they succeed in indoctrinating her.
Needless to say, my (second) husband and I are doing all we can to keep that from happening.
More info on the web at
chasson posted this in another thread, and i think it should be brought to the forefront.
thank you, chasson for showing us all this link.. typical society response to tragedy.
so three people got out and got to brooklyn.

Did Bethel send in its medical staff to help the victims? Did they shut down the printing plant for just one day to help with rescue work? Did they open up the Kingdom Halls to the public for prayer and comfort? We are not talking about lone individuals here. We are talking about the considerable resources of an organization that were not used in any way to help the suffering.
You took the words right out of my mouth, larc! I just made that exact remark to my husband about the medical staff right before I read your post.
Or how about just out and out donations, from a large "organization" that makes its home very near the target of these attacks?
Hell, the company my husband works for announced today that it is sending thousands of dollars to the Red Cross. This from a company that has no direct ties to NY or the WTC.
They think that God's Kingdom is going to cure everything. Tell that to the children of the people who aren't coming home tonight. And don't tell me about the resurrection. I don't believe in fairy tales anymore.

...because i have been needing the flock to share this horror with me.. i've spent more time hanging around the board and chat in the last 24 hours than i usually devote in a week.
it just feels like nobody understands the peculiar blend of numb and sick i'm feeling quite like you folks do.
there's a comfort in it somehow.
Thanks Harmony...((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) back to you

My thoughts are with you and your husband during this trying time.
Please, all who can give blood, do. I wish I could, but people with Multiple Sclerosis are not allowed to donate.
Please, if you can, do.
