I don't remember when the arrangement changed, but I remember that the old Oraganized book (OM book) said that unbaptized publishers who were removed were to be treated the same as disfellowshipped people. I brought this to an elder's attention because there were several unbaptized publishers who had been judicially removed but who still associated with the congregation same as before. He told me the arrangment had changed.

Unbaptised publishers
by purplesofa inanother point that might be sort of related: when we used to call unbap pubs "approved associates", and they were dealt with judicially to the point of no longer being approved associates, the cong was to treat them essentially like they were dfed.
that's the way it was at the time i'm referring to.
i'm glad that arrangement has changed!.

Some People Enjoy Being Jehovah's Witnesses For Various Reasons
by minimus insome individuals truly enjoy being jehovah's witnesses.
i think about those that would have liked to be in acting.
well, having a part in a demonstration in the service meeting or giving a talk in the theocratic ministry school gives one the opportunity to act, be melodramatic, show a little comedic talent, etc.

It's been interesting for me to see how so many posters who have not yet gotten over the shunning jump on others for such trivial "transgressions" as referring to the Jehovah's Witnesses as "the truth" out of habit or in stillas' case, admitting to remaining within the religion because of family ties and bonds.
It's as if the fact that they're so angry at the Witnesses over their treatment combined with their inability to take out their frustrations against other Witnesses due to their disfellowshipping leads them to lash out against any JWD poster who dares present a balanced viewpoint of the JW religion. Hopefully these folks can get over their deep resentments soon enough. It's not healthy.

try defending yourself rather than running off like a two year old as you did
It looks to me like more than one person is capable of acting like a two year old.

So I am not the only one that has noticed that the "Truth" is just kinda "floating around" lately
Nope. I've noticed the same thing and I presented my own theory of why things are so stagnant a while back.

I went to look for CoC at my local library, and it had been stolen. They told me they could order it from another library and it arrived on loan after a few weeks. From what I understand, it's not unusual for anti-JW books to end up missing from local libraries. There's probably a few JWs who feel they are doing the world some good by eliminating such "apostasy" from public consumption.
If you're worried about being discovered, you should just download a pdf. version of the book from the Commentary Press website.

I kind of feel bad for the P.O. of my old congregation. He planned his life around retiring and becoming a regular pioneer. He took a low-paying government job decades ago so that he could retire early and live on a pention. A year or two ago he retired and became a regular pioneer.
Now his coveted title is on the brink of significantly losing its luster. He didn't need to sacrifice all those year just to retire early and pioneer. He could have kept the better paying job he had before and provided a better life for his family. Now he's going to be mixed in with a bunch of other folks who work full-time jobs and pioneer.

I sure hope he's active in one or more of the spin-off boards. I really enjoyed his insights and his "battles" with Scholar, Vinny, et. al. were fun to watch.

Thereby rendering the term meaningless and ridiculous
lol...
Don't forget that the 1935 change made it so that there will be "new" anointed at all times. The fact that they are young and weren't around in the Rutherford days is no longer grounds to view them with suspicion. Any limited time frame that the 1995 revison clung to was blow away with the most recent change.
