i dont see it either. in fact its almost cloning and it hinders evolution, because no new genes are combined and individuals can also reproduce when they cant find a mate who is able/willing to couple.
it could also be a tool of evolution to ensure the species surivival in bad conditions.
but that is just guessing. i dont see any real proof which isnt discussable.

Parthogenesis: How do creationists explain this?
by Crumpet ini read this article in the paper on the train to work this morning (helped to keep me eyes of ladies feet and ankles) and was amazed as i never knew this before.. http://www.metro.co.uk/news/article.html?in_article_id=50123&in_page_id=34.
certain species can actually get pregnant and give birth without any make interaction.
if this doesnt support evolution as the most scientifically accountable theory of our existence what does?!.

If Creationism is true explain races.
by DeViL DriVeR 76 inso the bible speaks of how multiple languages came to be in babylon with the tower of babel, you all know the story.
ok so thats the bibles view on languages but what about races?
how are some people light skin others dark?

hey thats a topic i never swallowed completely.
Even though ive heard plenty of talks about that topic i never was completely convinced.
i mean we only had 6000 years (in fact fewer time... there was the flood you know) to create from one couple of humans a whole world population inklusive pygmies and eskimos. thats only 100 people that would need to know eachother to have a chain to adam himself from today (60 years of life of each person). and as we know the first humans were not many and have lifed even longer.
additionally the humans have seperated after the tower of babel incident. not much time. and todays races are adapted to several enviroments. like sun (black skin, broader nose, curly hair). can you imagine that 600 generations (with a generation age of 10 years) could make the black continent africa BLACK? or northern europe WHITE? its not that you couldnt live as a white man in africa. it works well. but still enough time passed that the white race almost died out in africa. in modern times with fast travel and a "smaller" world everything mixed again a bit.
sounds weired to me... but i cant know... -

Symbolism in Revelation Points to the Watchtower - Leolaia HELP
by jgnat inwe're studying rev.
grand climax, chapter 14 (revelation 4:5).
amazingly, tongue-in-cheek, much of the symbolism points to the watchtower.

for me the daniel book and the revelation book is pure fiction. they take a verse in the bible and interpret as much as they like into its words. in almost every cases there is NO logical explantion for the appliance of the scripture. every they write is a fact because its they say so. the problem is that they know how the JWs look like and how todays world situation is and see the scripture in that light, searching for things in that highly symbolic verses which could fit and they use it. if you read it open minded you would never come to the conclusion that john speaks of the JWs in the endtime.
i had that feeling of "random appliance" of scriptures all my life when we studied the daniel or revelation book.
one of the better books is the greatest man book. its like the gospels: simple and without much space to interpret. of course some of the interpretations in this book may be still wrong.
sorry, for not helping you directly, but i think its very hard to interpret the revelation properly. if not impossible. -

How do/did you imagine Armageddon will/would be?
by JH inand how do/did you imagine it would start.. i say, it would start a big cloud in the sky .

oh, i had nightmares about armageddon too. but i cant quiet remember how armageddon LOOKED in my dreams. it was more about the feeling that the time has come and whether god will let me survive.
still, even today, when weather becomes very heavy i feel in a weired way sometimes. like i need to go watch the sky to see if its really a ordinary storm or whatever.
one time there was a heavy thunderstorm in my area. the small daugther of a friendly couple crawled into the bed of her parents asking in fear: "is THAT armageddon?!".
i think this is scary shit what is done to minors. it haunts them their whole life. -

Why did JWs stop using that full body armor (the signs strapped to the body)?
It drew much more attention and it was a must-do, since armageddon was just around the corner - every attention was valuable as saved human lifes. what happened? armageddon is still around the corner. why JWs dont use it anymore? instead they are walking slowly from door to door or sometimes standing around silently. shouldnt they run around screaming with big banners to show everyone how serious it is?
i mean: if someone is going to walk down a grassland with hidden mines in his path... would you go slowly to him and give him a tract? or standing silently next to him with a publication named "headache - how to live with it". no you would grab his arm and pull him away.
is it possible the JWs are already sleepy? -

its a similar question like the question who wrote the revelation. some think its john of the gospels, but the writing style and its grammar mistakes differs much from the gospels - so its propably another "john". some religions even see the revelation as a book that doesnt belong to the bible canon. what would make the book spiritistic to the JWs. but instead for them its truth that it is written by john and they spent a whole book of its contents.

Hi!
Since i started "thinking" i see thousand and one things in life that fits to JWs behaviour and which i NEVER had seen before.
Do you know the british movie "Kick It Like Beckham"? Theres a indian girl, who plays soccer in a club. Someone saw her hugging another girl (friendship) and told their parents. So she came home and everyone was upset, that she "kissed a boy" and plays soccer in a club. Even her sister blamed her that she cheats on her family. Every JW who watches that movie is on the girls side and thinks like: "what a terrible situation the girl is in".
BUT THERE ARE SO MANY SIMILARITIES WITH JWs!
Imagine a JW girl who kisses a worldy boy and plays soccer in a soccerclub.
Its truly possible, that other JWs see her and tell her parents (or the elders directly...) and shes in merely the same situation. Her family were angry on her, everyone would play the guilt-card and she gets serious talks about her being "worldy". Depending on the elders and parents both things she did were WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. The worldly boy and even the soccer club.
In fact almost the whole situation is VERY VERY VERY likely to the situation in the movie.
So, whats the funny fact about it? 99 out of 100 JWs wouldnt notice and think theyself are sooooo intelligent, modern and in the most loving religion existing.
That isnt the only thing i notice often. There are so many things in life which every JW would label as "wrong", when its done by other religions/beliefs, but is brightly GOOOOOOD when it happens within the congregation.

Our Watchtower Study On obedience & submission
by dark angle inyesterday we have a study of the watchtower about obedience and submission.
this study arose a lot of questions and heightened emotions in me and the interested retired judge sitting besides me.
we came accross the 9th pharagraph, page 28 of the april 1, 2007, where it says that: "it is easy to obey when everything is clear and we agree, but we will show that we are trully submissive if we yeild even when we do not personally understand the direction provided.

when i was sitting in the congregation with this WT study i thought of the "hitler"-thing too, but i punished myself with guilt thinking that for some reason. and for a second i thought about telling it my wife, but i know that this comparison would be too hard. but even if i or others deny this information without thinking about it theres still a similarity.
