i had my tms tonight.
for those who don't know me, i no longer believe, but have only just begun my slow fade.. the meeting was unbearable.
first there was the brother who happily pointed out that i'd missed two meetings recently and that he was keeping track.

I know there is no way I could ever sit through a meeting and I'm sure I would be pulled into the back room because if anyone ever said "I'm keeping track", I'd probably tell them to kiss my A**!
So I can't even give you any tips, just a cyberhug!
i am starting to think about the joyous season already - i know, i know, i am way too early.
it is still summer in the northern hemisphere, school has only just gotten started, and the leaves haven't even turned yet.
still - i suppose i have catching up to do.
Too early for me, I can't think about it yet. I'll catch up around November

i was a jw, finally saw my chance and wrote a letter to the elders saying how bad i am and how i don't want to meet to discuss it and to df me if you want.
that was the end of it for me.
my question is if you know you are "fading" you are already gone so why not make the leap?
I walked away "cold turkey" at age 18, I really didn't care about how my family would treat me because at that point It really didn't matter. So I understand what you are saying.
But, you also have to respect and support how others choose to leave. For some loosing spouse and children is the worst thing that could happen and that's a lot to loose. They try to hang on long enough to help their spouse and children out.

i am really excited about this...i feel like it was "meant to be".. i called my cell phone company to see about getting my grandparents on the same net work, but had to make sure they would get reception in both places they live.
(they go back and forth from nevada to ohio) i also checked into getting them the same type of phone i have so i could show them how to work the darn thing.. the woman i spoke to was very nice and she said she wanted to commend me for showing such love to my grandparents and how there weren't a-lot of people who would do that.
i told her that they were wonderfull grandparents and are really like my parents because they have taken over the parent role to me since my own are in a cult and have disowned my family.. we talked a little about that and i said i wasn't angry with my parents, just sad because they are being tricked into thinking they are doing the right thing...and she asked "if you don't mind saying, what religion are they in?

so after marrying a good jw girl at 18 who was an elders daughter (married at 18 like most jw kids).
she was leaving for weeks (6-8) at a time to "visit" her parents in the same state(3 hours away).
i finally had enough of it and told her it was over.
I don't have a divorce story. But my Jdub friend has been married twice and divorced twice. Both loyal jdubs and the second woman was crazy. She wouldn't have sex with him after the wedding night, wouldn't work, which was fine with him because he's the "I'm the man and will take care of my woman" type man, but she didn't appreciate it.
She filed for divorce after they were separated for 8 years!! I guess it's not a "scriptural divorce"
He is in his early 50's and has only had sex with these two women, and the second wife he only got it 4 times in 9 years of marraige, WTF???? I'm so glad I didn't marry a JW.

i was officially installed as a member of kiwanis international last evening.
one other member and i had been attending since spring as members but never had the ceremony.
they finally got around to it this week.

I didn't even know it was down my part-time job (supervisor) called me and told me I needed to complete some online CEU's before Friday . I wasn't happy about that because this is my JWD time. So I'm glad i was oblivious, I get antsy when it's down and I have nothing to do!
