pell grant is a federal grant for low income people that wants to go to college but doesn't have that much money to support it.. ok, here's my story.... my ex makes good money...i get divorced but they still use the "last" years tax...meaning, even though i'm not "making" that money anymore "too bad".. i've been in college for 2 1/2 years now, ending my first degree, signing up for my ba.... i was just approved for pell grants and "other" federal assistance for college!!!!!!!!.
i've been after them for 2 years and it's finally arrived.... what does that mean for me????.
my loans won't be 15,000 per degree but rather more like 4,000....i don't have to worry about buying my books anymore.
Congrats FF!

greetings, ironers hard-pressed,.
i'm pressing a white linen jacket in preparation for a wedding this weekend.
it got me to thinking about a topic little (if ever) discussed in polite society, such as yours.. do you do drip-dry?.
Mangle
1. machine for pressing fabric: a large machine for pressing sheets of fabric by passing it between two heated rollers
I thought mangel meant to ball up the damn clothes You really do learn something new everyday. So my answer is no never used one of those

Drip dry only items that can't go in the dryer then before wearing them I iron them
I hate to wear clothes that are wrinkled and putting them in the dryer doesn't work for me. I have to have that crisp look
No I don't mangle clothes and it burns me up when the hubby takes the clothes out of the dryer and balls them up or shoves them in the clothes basket
Iron for money? Ha! I hate to iron so no, and I only iron my clothes everyone else is on his own.
You really iron for money?

hi everyone, here i come, "from roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it.".

i grew up a witness and i never felt bad about my lack of material belongings a.k.a.
not having nice clothes in school, it didn't bother me that the other first graders were stuffing their faces with birthday cupcakes and i was in the school library researching fossils; but what did bother me?
my cool cousins.
So say what you want about how it was so bad when you were a Witness and how out of the loop you were. You didn't see the big picture. You didn't learn the lessons or let the Organization teach you by it's TRUE example. I did these things and I have to say. My dreams were as easy as showing up to an interview with a smile a suit and a briefcase
Well, the organization didn't allow you to see a bigger picture. You were in a box and expected to stay there. I hated FS, the meetings, ministry school the whole shabang with a passion.
It did absolutly nothing for me, gave me zero preparation for the real world. But, in spite of my upbringing in a high control cult I hold a Masters Degree in Nursing and an awesome career. No thanks to the JW upbringing. I achieved my goals because it was something I wanted not because of anything the JW cult did for me.

hey,.
i just want to thank everyone for your kudos.
i can't express in words how much having access to a forum like this means to me.
I felt like I was talking to the guy in the subway station who wears the tinfoil on his head and spouts off about conspiracy theories
Yep, that's about what it's like when trying to have an intelligent conversation with them, sometimes the conversation doesn't even have to be intelligent
Anyway, welcome to JWD!
