  Jesus not crucified on torture stake. Impossible!

  unwittingly the germans, during wwii, they experimented with many, many ways for killing people, efficiently and quickly.

  their records show that when a person is suspended with their hands over their head, as they would be on the jw "torture stake," they can survive for approximately one hour.

  if their feet are tied down, as well, the time is reduced to about 15 minutes.. .

  Teenagers taking vows of celibacy

  i heard of an interesting study on kcrw (public radio la) today about teenagers that take a vow to abstain from sex before marriage.

  in this survey they found that the pregnancy rate was the same with teens that had made some kind of a vow to abstain from sex before marriage as those that did not make any vow.

  the difference was those that had made some kind of commitment to abstain from sex were less likely to have taken any steps to prevent pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases.

  the signs are becoming more and more clear.

  violent crimes are increasing and lawlessness is the thing of the day.

  people are starting to lose their minds due to the increasing job loss and economic hardship.

  yes i did enjoy what i call "the age of freedom" where i did not have to hide my "movie" collection.

  now my wife wants to have a clear conscience and be a good witness so the collection has to go underground again.

  i feel like the berlin wall was torn down.....and then rebuilt a couple years later!.

  I'm not trying to judge you or criticize you 007. I've been married for 24 years and when one person is the only one giving it will make the other person resentful to say the least.

  In the medical field we are taught not to feed into patients delusions. Do you think maybe you are prolonging the ineveitable with her? When you feel she is all better and better able to handle your disinterest in the JW's will she try the same tactics again? Will this be a repeat to get you to come around and do what she wants? Is she at all concerned about how you feel or just her own wants?

  Just asking of course. You and only you have to live the life you are living, I just hope you are not doing it for the end results to be the same. Wasting even more of this very short life we have.

  This girl I work with has two daughters that both took a vow of celibacy one is 15 the other almost 17. Their dad gave them a special ring and everything. One is on her 2nd kid the other just found out she's 5 months pregnant last week.

  So much for the vow, maybe parents should try educating their kids instead.

  Wow Renaii - you really did surround yourself with the most low life, irresponsible, drunks, smokers and adulters you could find while on your break from the JW's. That to me speaks more of your ability to choose friends and be responsible about who you hang around than the fact that everyone not a JW is a drunk, irresponsible, heathen.

  My kids are grown but have never been burned or hurt in anyway at a birthday party, christmas pary or any other holiday celebration. Oh and we didn't get them drunk either

  Who are the biggest drunks I've ever met in my life? My elder brothers, yea two of them. Hollier than thou, but always has a flask full of liquor in the jacket pocket and a cooler of beer in the back of the car. They drink and drive, drink and preach, drink and pray. Oh yeah those JW's are the best.

  Get over your hollier than thou view of JW's already Renaii, it's really getting sickening for those of us who know better.
