i regularly talk to a poster on this board via the pm system...............mainly because i like his mind.......today he suggested in reply to something i had said that basically men and women dont do friendship.........he asked the question 'why do people even bother with each other if they dont fancy each others intimacy?
'...............not that he was suggesting this about us.........but i am just wondering what you lot think.. it has been my experience to have some wonderful men friends...........i love mens company and their conversation..........now i am wondering if all those 'mates' were/are after something else............well not really........i am pretty sure at least some of them arent.. so whats your view/experience.........can men and women just be good friends.. oh and to my friend who i pm.........this is not a criticism of you.........i am interested in what others experiences are..........and i will give you a big kiss (on the cheek) one day when i see ya to make up for it.......... fi.
I have a very close male friend (just friends), I value his opinion and he mine. He talks to me about his women problems, I discuss my (hubby) problems and questions that the opposite sex is sometimes confused about. There has never been any suggestion that he thought of me any other way than just friends.
Sure I'm living proof men and women can be friends.

i've read a number of post here that make the point that as a j-dub a lot of decisions are based on appearances and not real christian love.
if no one really knows about it the elders will sometimes only privately reprove such a person.. this is so wrong!
especially in the case where a woman (girl) gets pregnant.

hi again, sorry i haven't been able to get to the computer for days now as i am so tired when i get home from the hospital.
yesterday i was just so out of things i had to take a break mentally and emotionally.. it is terrible seeing marco everyday being sick and deteriating.
on sunday after church i went to the hospital and just got there in time to speak to the cadiologist.

i was talking to my mum yesterday, who has been sick for about a year and hasnt been to a meeting in 8 months, due to having most of her stomach removed and esophegus because of a malignant tumor.
she says she doesnt want to go back for a while because she might get sick from the germs in the aircon and all the people , i think this is valid, coming from her , but i think there is more to it.
she said that a couple fo elders went over for a sheparding call the other night and went through a computer print out on persistance.

I glad she had you there for support. Sometimes sickly persons just need someone to show they care about them, they know you can't heal them, but having somone the honestly cares about you can mean all the difference!!

I cuss regularly, I don't find it at all disturbing to hear others cuss either.
However it does bug the S*** out of me when people say the first letter of the word only, like god or anyone else doesn't know what the H*** the person means!!!
