  If You Were Granted Amnesty, Would U Go Back To Being A JW?

  if a new policy arose stating that everyone could return and start afresh, would you ever think about returning----especially if you had family and friends in that would now talk to you again?

  there are 3 current threads that say these very things.

  (ok, the one about armageddon says it will come within days or weeks--not months--so that means june 2007.

  seems to me this is whipping up into a paranoia bigger than the 1980s apostate scare, bigger than they've ever seen before.

  I think deep down inside even the die hard JW's know it's a load of crap. I don't think they will do anything drastic, except bug the hell out of non and ex JW's.

  Out of the Family...

  literally and figuratively.... if you don't know my story, its the basic "i'm gay and from a family of jws" and lately it hasn't been going well.

  i'm still saving up to move out, but that "meeting" i was suppose to have with the elders is scheduled tonight.

  it was scheduled tuesday night but i dodged that bitch hard.

  First and foremost Love Yourself!!!! I firmly believe that being gay is not a choice, so for someone to tell you to be a man is wrong. Let go of the JW language, what does being in the world really mean? Banging every one you see, no matter what the situation is, is risky behavior!! I have 3 sons and if one of them were gay, I would still love him. It may not be the lifestlye I would choose for my son but I love my children unconditionally and I want them to be happy. Unconditional love allows you accept people for who they are, I still love my parents and siblings even if they are in a cult, I wish they weren't but that is their choice. And if it's what makes them happy, then so be it!

  Please do not even consider suicide!!! Do you have a support group in your area? How old are you? Can you support yourself??

  I can understand the hurt you must feel, for a mother to disown her child is something I could never understand. Please, Please find someone in your area to sit and talk to in person, and see if you can get some assistance so you can get out from under your mom. You need some space to say the least!!!

  it's official; they read the letter tonight that puts forth the new procedure.

  if you find an expelled person in the field or are studying with one, you are no longer permitted to give them lit.

  presumably the elders make a decision if an expelled one is regularly attending meetings, but only they can give them lit.

  hello all, just wanted to give an update..... i'm no longer engaged, so that's one less thing that's holding me back from leaving the org.

  don't get me wrong, i do hate we had to end it and i do love her very much.

  this has been quite hard for me.

  Wow...just had an anxiety attack moments ago...

  this hasn't happened to me in a very long time.

  i was in the kitchen fixing dinner for the kids not really thinking about anything other than dinner..then bamm i was overwhelmed with a panic feel and very bad thoughts that i'd rather not discuss.

  i dropped what i was doing and went into zach's room just to get a bit of peace and recollect myself.

  I have panic attacks also, the first time I was in Walmart and all of a sudden it felt like the walls were closing in on me, my heart was beating out of my chest, I was sweating like crazy, and I couldn't catch my breath. By the way those are some signs of a heart attack, but being the nurse I am, and all knows that we are the worst patients, I got in my car and drove home!!!

  My husband took one look at me and took me straight to the hospital!! I was fine of course after several blood tests and EKG they gave me Xanax. I took it but it zonked me out so bad I try not to take it.

  Knock on wood, none for about 6 months. I'd better shut up before I give myself a panic attack!!!

  if you got married while a witness... did any of the elders come to you and talk to you about the right and wrong sexual acts you can perform??

  When my sister got married they did have several meetings and one topic was wifely duty and husbandly duty. But I don't think it was about what they could or couldn't do, just the "duty of" kinda thing.

  yesterday i bought a pair of jeans, and i don't take the same size as years ago.

  from 31 inch waist 10 years ago, i buy 33 inch waist jeans now.

  a few years ago, i bought many pairs of jeans, and didn't wear them much, thinking i'd be the same weight all my life....lol.

  Down worry about, didn't you hear "The end is not years, not months away but mere days, weeks.

  When you are birdfood, maybe some good little JDUB will take them and give them a home! OOPS! I forgot only dresses with panty hose for the sisters.

  Sorry, feeling a bit sarcastic today.

  This looks more like my response, then hang the jeans in the back of the closet like I do!
