Baptism at age 11 next Saturday
by Fatfreek ini just learned that one of my grandsons (whom i've never met) will be baptized on saturday.
he will be twelve in november.

I'm online at home....

i'm using an old windows system so i can't use all the "cool" smiley's right now!.
i can finally stop having withdrawal symptoms when i leave work and can't log onto jwd!

At work today, I actually got an attitude because a patient showed up late! I thought she was a "no show" and then all of a sudden, when I'm right in the middle of reading a thread, there she is 30 minutes late!!!
How dare she interrupt my time on JWD : )

THE UNIVERSE - What do you now believe about it?
by Black Man ini was watching this documentary on the various galaxies and it stated that the universe is still expanding, planets are being created as we speak.
it also detailed some of the planets within our solar system and some beyond it and speculated how some were favorable for habitation and that some show evidence of having a water supply.
what do you believe about the universe?

You know, I'm still not sure! I watch the discovery channel, read National Geographic, love anything about science, space, etc....
I'm just not sure what it all means, where it all came from, life, death...... Maybe one day all my questions will be answered!

I usuall post from work, I'm a nurse (Radiology nurse), I see 4 patients in the morning and 4 in the afternoon and in between I'm on JWD : ) I hate not having my smiley's
Right now I'm posting from home for the first time!!! I have an old operating system right now and can't use my smiley faces and I'm a little bummed.
Damn, I forget the other question!

by R.F. ini know i've been posting here on jwd for only a month and a half or so, but i would like to give everyone here a big thank you!!.
i know i've come here and it seems like mostly venting from me, but it means alot for you all to listen and give much advise.
it's kinda like big sister or big brother....you've been there and done that(still doing it for many of you) and your giving little brother valuable advise.. there has been so much to go on in my life in the last month or so that i've never been through, but i'd first say that i've gotten this unbelieveable strength from god, along with your helping hands along the way.

Life lost
by Phil ini have previously posted on the subject of finding people who could help me get some testimonials from experienced jws who have been shunned by friends and family.
this was my way of getting my daughter to wake up to the realities of what is going on with the organization she is associated with.
much to my sadness, i have been notified by her husband that she died this morning of lung cancer.

Talked to an OLD Friend last night

he was like an older brother to me.
in fact, 8 years my senior, he might as well have been.. his mom and my mom were best friends.

Man you just took me back down memory lane. Even though I left at an early age, and didn't have many relationships in the BORG, I did however have a few friends and I would love to get in touch with them to see where they are.
I'm glad you made a connect and hope you can keep in touch with your friend.
