by monophonic inracism in the jehovah's witness watchtower.
it turns out to be a blog, but it got picked up by google news and the comments other than the writer's seem to be from jws just discrediting the post.. while he seems a little off his nut, since google picked it up, it might be a good idea to post informational comments for people who pass through..

have you found it difficult?
by 4digitcode into make friends since you're out of the organization?
maybe these things take time.
it's hard to establish new friendships when ones i had for years floated away in an instant.

I think when you are a JW you define friend differently that most people. You also have lots of friends in the JW org, hell that's one of their terms "friends". Most everyday non-JW people have just a few that are "friends", most people have lots of aquaintances - again how do you define friend? Is a friend someone that just happens to go to the same hall as you, or in fs with you. Or is it someone that you have spent many years with and shared your life with, good and bad?
I was raised JW and had many JW aquaintances, I had 1 best friend since kindergarten non-JW and we are still friends today. I have added 3 other persons to my "friend" list and they are people that I would trust in my home, with my children and even to be around my husband if I'm not there and they trust me in the same way. These friends have been by my side during sad, bad, emotional as well as happy times. They've told me when they thought I was wrong and we've even had arguements but we are still friends. We disagree, laugh, celebrate, cry, complain and share most of our lives with each other. We may not live in the same state but when we get together it's like we still live next door. We talk on the phone and at times it's several calls a day, but at least once a week.
To me that is the true meaning of friendship. Not how many you have but the quality of the friendship. And as we all know to have a quality relationship with anyone it takes time and effort from all parties.

The again I was always a rebel.Tell me to do one thing and I'll do just the oppisite just to piss you off.I've alway's been that way.
That's me all the way! If you told me "worldly people are bad", I would make friends just to see if you were right! I never bought into the "because I said so" thing. I needed proof. Maybe that's what helped me get out so early and stay out.

The appendix does have a function

I had mine removed when I was 12, If I hadn't I would have died because of infection. I remember being very, very sick.
I'm glad they took it out and I don't miss it. My gut is fine!

My aunt
by coffee_black inmy 85 year old aunt, who has worked every day up until 2 weeks ago is very ill. she has been losing weight for about 6 months, (without trying) but for the past month it has really accelerated.
my cousin finally got her to go to the doctor , and there will be lots of tests to find the cause.
she had lung cancer 12 years ago and has had a clean bill of health ever since... until now.
