i got disfelowshiped when i divorced my husband and altho we both went on to have relationships with other people he didn't get disfelowshiped as he wasn't going to meetings.
we have since then got back together and i find it so frustrating that i still get treated like a leper being shunned by his family and all the other witnesses but he still gets invited to dinner and works with them.
i don't want to be best buddys with any of them i just hate it when they cross the road to avoid me .

That's just the way it is in the borg. Also you are a female and we all know that females are second class citizens as far as the JW's go. Do you still go to the meetings?
They only have as much power over you as you will allow them to have. Don't let them make you feel like crap, they put their pants on just like you, one leg at a time and certainly they are no better a human being than you are.

we are great friends now....but he wasn't much of a father growing up.. worked all the time...we went on few vacations....pretty much pussy whipped my my nazis jw mother.. he never did believe in the whole jw thing.
he just when along with it, for my mothers sake.. she never did respect him for not being a "spiritual head" and pretty much let us kids know about it.. i, like my mother became very self rightious and judgmental.. i wished now he had just came to me just once and said "keith maybe the jws are not the people you think they are.
" but he was to afraid of my mother to say that...even though he knew it to be true.i would have never believed him....back then....but it would have planted a seed.... .
My dad was a very strict, stern when it came to dishing out the beatings and discipline to the boys. He would beat the crap out of them for the least thing. My mom made up for that by taking it out on the girls, that is except for the youngest (she does no wrong)
An elder for as long as I remember except when he had to step down because one of his heathen children did something to break the JW rules. He was and still is a very judgemental person and loves to argue his point on even the most insignificant of things.
I love my dad but I hated how he acted towards my brothers. I hesitate to call it abuse but it was in no uncertain terms.
There was no understanding from either parent growing up even if you weren't wrong or weren't involved if someone else said you were there you were just as guilty.

i am wondering if there is some way possible for wbts to be billed for medical expenses caused by the psychological harm inflicted when dubs end up in dr. offices or hospital as a result of spiritual trauma and spiritual warfare?.
seems to me that we could make them take some responsibility.. (i am not providing the link because this is second-hand information).

so this is the day that princess daisy boo entered the world, 30 years ago.. last night, my mom called and in the course of the conversation she say something along the lines of " thirty years ago today i was in labour - how does it feel to be almost 30... and then carried on about something random.
so my question to you all is this... how do your dub family or friends acknowledge your birthday, or do they?

much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

I've been in a little slump lately. My dad has been sick, dealing with the blood issue. He's doing ok now but still in the hospital. I've had a lot on my mind lately and I hope I'm on my way out of the dumps : (
The weather is starting to stay cold now so I guess I'd better pull out the gloves and coat, I hate being bundled up and you better watch out if a hot flash comes on. I'll knock you over try'n to get out of any extra clothes I have on. My poor hubby, if he makes it though my menopause alive........
Anyway, I'll be going out of town for a national band competition this weekend with my youngest son's high school marching band, keep your fingers crossed for us - we've done well this year and because it's his senior year he would be thrilled for "his band" to win the National High Stepping Marching Band, Grand Champion!!! I would too, but I'll be glad when it's over, mommy is tired and I'd love to take a vacation with just the hubby to a tropical island instead of riding around with a bunch of teeny boppers with access to drums, trumpets, flutes, sax's, etc....... I love them all but I'm ready to move on now!!!

i was a pioneer for 7 years, before that i was a regular auxiliarry pioneer for 3 years, i have been a witness for 17 years.
If you really believe there is a Jehovah , maybe he trying to give you a clue that this is not his organization. Get out, run take care of you daughter and be a part of her life. Especially now when she needs you.
