ya know... I used to eat this chronology stuff up... studied it a lot... after going through the chronology unit in MTS (Ministerial Traning School...aka Value Destroying School as Wiz says)... I found waaay too many discrepencies.... had to bury my additional doubts a few more years before walking away. The generation issue bugged me before they made the major change in 95. I didnt know why then, but I do now.
now... i have a hard time reading this drivel. I appreciate the smart people on this forum digesting it for me... it gives me a headache otherwise.
I used to be a skip tracer....might have some ideas...PM me via JWD...
and I am not a gold member of Classmates.com either...I might for this year only since my 25th reunion is coming up..but I think my brother is a member...
I was in a householder's home once... (is the word "householder used anywhere else but in the JW vernacular?) for someone's study. Little kids running around in a filthy, roach infested, nasty hovel of a home. I kept my bookbag on my lap and kept a vigil on my shoes and pant legs...sitting on the very edge of the couch. While Sister Spiritual was droning on an on about some mundane point, the woman study was barely paying attention and was functionally illiterate beside, but hey, the clock on our time was running...
About that time, a little girl, barely walking, comes out of the bathroom with something in her mouth. At first, I couldnt tell what it was....then the momma, said in a real calm voice: "no, no, baby, take that out of your mouth."
if you are eating or drinking...please stop...if you have a weak stomach, do not scroll down... ready?
scroll
scroll
scroll...last chance...
little girl was sucking on a used maxipad...... and all she got from her mom was a "no, no baby?" ewwwwwww ..OMFG OMFFSM!... just saying....and I never went back.
surgeon busted for using human fat to fuel cars(agencies).
updated: 2008-12-29 12:03los angeles -- a former beverly hills plastic surgeon is in trouble with the law because he fueled his car with human fat sucked from his patients.. craig alan bittner apparently created "lipo-diesel" from his patient's fat and used it to fuel his ford suv and his girlfriend's lincoln navigator.. california public health officials say that it is illegal because state law forbids the use of human medical waste to power vehicles.. bittner said he was trying to be environmentally friendly by using the "lipo-diesel.".
"the vast majority of my patients request that i use their fat for fuel -- and i have more fat than i can use," bittner wrote on lipodiesel.com, which is no longer online.
It was the only Vehicle with Bacon coming out of the Exhaust pipe!!.. ..LOL!!......................
you beat me to this... pretty foul if you ask me.
I have been behind buses using biodiesel...smells like french fries. I have a friend who sends his wife to a local bar & grill every mon/fri to clean out their fryers and haul back the grease.... i dont think they have converted it yet..just storing it...
I am wanting to give bread baking a try. I now have all of the ingredients just need to do it, probably next week.
I have done banana bread (I lost the recipe someone here gave me... it was the best) but I have not yet tried to make a yeast bread from scratch.
One thing I found out is that if you want whole wheat bread that is not crumbly but more more like store texture, you need dough conditioners. You can buy it premade, or the individual components, but you might have to go to a health food store or specialty store. Since you are using a bread machine, those mixes generally have all the dry ingredients.
I do not have a bread machine.... but I need to beat up some dough before I go looking for a person to beat up...I need stress relief..lol
someone, who was a jw a long time ago, sent me a message promoting an expensive cure-all drink called noni from tahiti.
i thought i would do a research on it and found out it is an expensive multi-level marketing scheme.. i found an interesting quote at the following site: (it is evident in the text that the witnesses are jehovh's witnesses).
Okay, I will have to put in my .02 about Tahitian noni juice. I wouldn't be without it one day, as well many in my family and others. I still think it's crazy, but I cannot argue with results. I don't care about the business, but I do care about my health. It is worth every penny to me and at the very least, my elderly mother, which I pay for.
having met you I can bet you wouldnt get sucked into a scam...you seem too smart for that. I have heard mixed results and studies about Noni juice (and now Pomegranate juice [at the aforementioned $120/case] is the next MLM making the rounds). If Noni works for you and your mom then I am very happy that you are getting results and not paying for nonsense. When my dad was alive, it was Aloe Vera juice MLM that was making the rounds... I wouldnt drink it, but it does have proven curative properties. I would likely have a very serious burn scar if not for the juice from an aloe plant.
At the recommendation from, of all professionals, my dentist, I do take a supplement that seems to work, though some scoff, along with a multivitamin. However, I found a peer-reviewed study that confirms my personal results on the supplement. However, I dont buy this particular supplement through a MLM... I buy it at any ol grocery store.
I think the point of all of this is that, like many cults, MLM preys on certain base needs and desires of people... just like the JWs do.
