There is this local DJ/techno musician that used to date an ex-witness who did an amazing techno re-mix of "Welcome to the machine" I listen to it over and over on my ipod

For me it's not a matter of believing or not. I consider myself an apathist. I just don't care either way. It's a case of "what have you done for me lately"
The simple theory of the apathist:
Perhaps there is a god, or gods, or goddesses, or higher powers.
Perhaps not.
It's irrelevant.
You do the most good you can with what you have.
If you get help from somewhere else,
that's just icing on the cake. -

Love And Marriage Was The WatchtowerÂ’s Way An Advantage?
by The wanderer in<!-- .style1 { font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; } .style2 { font-family: arial; font-size: 18px; color: #8668e0; } .style3 {font-family: arial; font-size: 18px; color: #3300cc; } --> love and marriage was the watchtowers way an advantage?the thought of one man and woman bonded through matrimony was always appealing.
the society used to stress chaperons, however, i think in todays day and age.
however, did the societys way prove helpful in certain respects?.

I used to think that it was an advantage, but after 2 failed marriges in an 11 year span, I no longer do. I have decided to do things my way and am happier for it. Faded

Would you rat out an Elder
by pratt1 inthis weekend i accompanied a few friends to a strip club in manhattan.
my wife doesn't like it too much, but since i promised her that a lap dance is asfar as i will go with a stripper, she tolorates it.. imagine my surprise when i noticed that an elder from my old congo was there along with several of his co-workers.. he tried to ignore me but before we left i stopped by his table and said hello.. he actually had the nerve to ask me if it was okay for us to speak.
i said since we were both in a strip club, it didn't matter.. my question - should i mention this to dubs i still maintain relationships with, who incidently worship the ground this elder walks on?.

Who knows, maybe he was there preaching to the strippers? I mean, they deserve to hear the "Good news" too. Maybe he was putting tracts in thier G-strings instead of dollars.....lol Faded

I always hated "We're Jehover's Witnesses" I actually started to make up an XJW version of it, as changing song lyrics to be dirty or rude is one of my favorite pastimes. I also hated "Life without end at last" because it was played at my Grandpa's memorial service and everytime I have heard it since, I tear up. (I'm such a chick) The "kiss the son, lest god be angry" one was actually my favorite, it suited my voice the best. And it always sounded dark and cryptic to me. Faded-out

Fading Music
by choosing life inif there was only one cd you could choose that helped you through the time you were fading from one set of choices to another, which one would it be?
just one now.. mine would be cheryl crow-wildflower.
of course there were others, but i limited this to just one.there are several songs on there that helped me express my feelings.. then, i also relistened to all my old music.

"god that failed" and "holier than thou" by Metallica were very fitting songs I would (still do) listen to to get out my angry feelings. Faded-out

Metatron, great point. Bilking millions of people for billions of dollars and offering nothing in return, well except judgement and impossible standards. LOL, Billzfan. Pee-Wee is funny. (Oh yea, I have been meaning to ask you are you really a Bills fan? I am, so that's why I ask) Faded-out
