  Believer, Agnostic or Atheist?

  i am curious, what amount people on this board from their experiences of being a baptised & active jw and their subsequent exit from the jw org (for whatever reason or reasons) are now either agnostic, atheist or do some actually still believe in god?.

  Changes in Elder arrangement?

  there are continuing rumors about changes that are going to be made in the elder arrangement.

  while these are still only rumors, i wish .

  to repeat that the society must be under pressure to make legally motivated changes to the elder structure.. first, the appointment of elders seems to be much more direct than the appointment of most priests or pastors in common religions.. that might be a problem leading directly to the governing body.. more than that, there is a clearly defined hierarchy going up from local elders thru the c.o.

  As the British would say...."This is a sticky wickett" for the BORG....

  It's unclear how this would work out. If the Gibbering Boobies sever their connection to the appointment of and direction given to the local bodies of elders how are they going to explain the fact that elders are appointed by HS through the FD&S??????????? If the local congregations decide who will be their elders, HS is out the window.

  They really are a pathetic, greedy, power-hungry bunch............IMHO

  Hey guys....taking a JWD break to finish my thesis.....

  i enjoy this board so much that it is distracting me from what i really need to do.. it seems like no matter how hard i try to sign on for a "couple minutes" it ends up turning into hours (because i like hanging out with you guys).. so, i am going to take a break for a while.....should be back on sometime in june.. cheers,.

  Why do many of us keep refering to IT as "THE TRUTH"?

  because that was the name the borg placed on it's religion, "the truth" it seems to be stuck with many of us.

  i am making a concious effort to not refer to it as "the truth".. it is not the truth, it is not the way, and it is definitley not the life!.

  i coined this the other day on another thread and it seemed to get a laugh out of a few people.. and since were talking about it, what other great terms could we come up with in the spirit of "the borg," the filthful and disgraceful slavebugger (a fave of mine)......??
