out of the organization.
my history as a jehovahs witness could easily be summed .

The thought that it is fine to be married and miserabe, God will love you then, but God hates people who love each other but aren't married. I was in what I now know to be a hellish marriage, but because it looked good on paper, God thought that was just fine. He takes his cue from the courthouse before he decides to annihilate you for all eternity. What a dopey story it all is!

If The Elders Decide To Get You-----They Will!!!
by minimus inplease never think that you can reason with an "older man", a "spiritual shepherd", an "elder".
elders already know what their agenda is.
if they want to talk with you, they control the format.

I desperately wanted to fade. I got many invitations to elder meetings in the back room. If you don't go, they are immediately suspicious and try harder. I made the mistake of stopping on the side of the road after being PULLED OVER by one of the elders, only to be handed a notice for the judicial hearing. They had tried 3 certified letters to me previously and I refused them...this guy had to have waited 3 or more hours on the side of the road to catch me. Mistake number two was actually going to that meeting -- the charge being going against a principle of one flesh even tho they never asked me if I had had sex with this male friend. I had been divorced for 3 years by then but...the idea that the elders spend 100s of hours helping people before they are dfed is just crazy. The elder body was afraid of how things would look. Another friend of mine moved from the Detroit area to the Upper Peninsula to escape and within weeks she was found. I wish now I would have told them if they dfed me I would take legal action against them.

Waistband of pants down to mid thighs
by Fatfreek ini had a sandwich at subway today and my seat was near the door.
one of the patrons left with his buddy and i could hardly believe my eyes.
i'm no prude but it turned me off to see the belt line of his jean shorts down to the middle of his thighs.

In their attempt at being different these boys have managed to be cookie-cutter images of each other. When I see it it screams: STILL TRYING TO FIND MYSELF! The world would be a really interesting place if we were all given sewing machines and made to sew up our own creations...if I were queen of the world...

The last thing a person would imagine when they saw Minimus years ago would be that he would ever leave. I am sure that people saw my husband and I the same way. The horrible truth is that a Bible trained conscience is nothing to be proud of because when we go against human nature there is something in each of us that knows it. mcsemike: I do think that the day will come when elders who are put in these unnecessary positions will realize just what happened back there in that room when they told somebody God doesn't want anything to do with them anymore. I was the only person who cried at the cousin's funeral. People just looked at me like : "what's the matter with HER?" If Minimus can recognize what's going on, then I would hope that others in that position would see it also. Natural human affection and love really have been replaced by rules in this organization.

what's in it for the women???
by chelsea ini have often wondered what's in it for the women???
i just read the story of minimus and it is so clear that such power and privilege on offer to males in the borg would be enticing and probably addictive... but the women will never have such offers or opportunities.
they will always be required to be in subjection.

The Bible is the instruction manual in oppression for both men and women. The idea of having your wife do everything that you don't want to do plus do things she DOESN'T want to do...pretty appealing. At one point, after many years of going through the motions, I told my husband I felt like a whore. Not even a paid whore. And that "slave" thing they are so proud of is really the same situation, only the WT is the bad husband. It is a life of drudgery and unhappiness if the woman has a self-centered husband. Very few marriages were happy and some wives seemed the type that would do anything to be "taken care of". That whole situation just makes me gag.

My ex husband had been an elder also. At 24, only a few weeks after being appointed, he had to deal with two cases where each were DFed. Within days of his cousin's hearing, his cousin hung himself in a deer blind. The other waited a whole two weeks before killing himself. That one was an elder's son from a different congregation. Almost all of the elders in our congregation had gone to help on a hall build and left my husband behind to back up any problems that should come up. Of course I didn't know that he was on his judicial committee until a few nights before he left here never to return. He was sitting in the dark in the front room drinking till he was throwing up and it was everything he could do to tell me how this affected him. I do wonder how many other elders out there are suffering way deep down in their souls about a decision that was made in a hearing.

Those who came into contact with the Borg and had no defense were sucked in and eventually "assimulated". The perfect nickname.

Thank you very much Madame Quixote! I am doing this a little long-distance, but we appreciate it. Hopefully she will come on board soon and supply some details.

For some reason he believes he can win in a case around the children attending all of the meetings, service, etc. along with not allowing the children to participate in holidays. At this time, they have joint custody, and, I would imagine any time that is taken away from the mother with the children would have to be made up, meaning, in a weeks time she would be getting practically another day per week. The girl with all the inside information is trying to log on here and having problems, so I thought I would just start it up for her. Any ideas or links?
