  i am back from my cruise, hair all braided and all tanned and relaxed.

  Struggling with the concept of a "God"

  this topic, i'm sure, has been discussed many times, but today i am really contemplating the concept of god.. i remember vividly the old testament; the israelites slaughtering everyone in their path, men, women and children at god's direction at jericho, leaving no one alive.

  i remember thinking then as a child how cruel that was.

  there are many other examples.. then reading the news today i read a section in the world news about india.

  i am really feeling depressed.

  my relationship with my jw mother is deteriorating rapidly.

  i can't even look at her sometimes.

  Conversation with my JW mother (arghhhh!!!) Need advice

  so last week when i casually mentioned the bs being cancelled, she was like, oh, no, they'd never do that.

  i asked her if she would be upset with it and she said she would, it was her favorite one.

  then she asked me where i got my info and i set the internet (of course!

  can someone tell us where they heard the news about the weekly studies being cancelled?

  i just talked to my mother who is a jw and she was like, well, i didn't hear that.

  i surely would have heard that before you.

  Are the Halls stepping up the message??

  recently my jw mother has been acting strange.

  she's saying things like, she feels like she doesn't "know" her children anymore (as if she ever did), and that she knows we all talk about her behind her back and mock her religion.

  then she'll say that she has the "friends" and that's all she needs.. is the society turning up the armegeddon's almost here and cut off your non-believing relatives now 'cause they won't make it into the new system thing?
