Service is so easy now

i just knew the gb would find a way to keep on going when the end never seems to come.

well, new light shining brightly we all recently learned that the 144k are still being selected.

no more need to "graft" new ones onto the broken branch.

I think you make a good point. I know I spoke to some people out in service (back when I was still blind) who seemed very sincere in their love of God, but were convinced they had the heavenly calling and I tried to talk them out of it because I had the Truth and I wanted to get them out of Christendom. I may have even stumbled a few. I hope someone lets them know about this new light. I'm going to have a Rum and Coke to atone for my sins. May God have mercy on us all, and cheers!

however, last year it took 6,491,775 publishers to get 248,327 baptised!

exactly what work were those spare 3 million publishers.

Good post. Yeah, the preaching work is a hoax. Many people just fake the time, and many, many more just go through the motions. And of course, potential recruits are not as naive as they used to.

Very scarry encounter

i just had an encounter with a man at the bank and i'm still shaking:.

i pull up to the bank to use the atm ( atm in small lobby), i park next to a large truck and next to the truck was another car.

there was 1 man using the atm, and no one in line or outside.

I agree with Gill. There's not one thing that will do it for everyone. When the person is fed up is when they wake up and see the truth. Until then, nothing will do it.

Having said that, I think it is great to see media coverage on the child abuse settlement, and the UN scandal. These things show that they are just like any other religion, except worse because of the cult aspects.

My wife is still on the inside, but I really dont think she beleives all their crap. I think she stays because of the social aspects of it. It's like the people in field service who would say I was born a Catholic and I wil die a catholic. It's more about family/friends/traditions than about Truth or pleasing God.

I think if most witnesses got new friends and developed a new sense of community they would leave. Cause I think most of them know, deep down, that "the truth" is mostly crap.
