Milan Italy Public Demonstration against ostracism practiced by the Watchtower.
by Nick! inmilan italy public demonstration against ostracism practiced by the watchtower.. .
two years after rome, yesterday december 1st, day by day, we were about 100 of us demonstrating on a public square in the center of milan, italy.. .
at about 10-11 a.m. many of us were already on the spot, installing our gazebo on the public square where we were granted authorization by the police and starting the distribution of about 4000 tracts to passersby in the surrounding squares, boulevards and streets exposing the watchtower for its teachings and instructions on discriminating those who decide to use their rights to walk away from this religious movement without to have to incur the ostracism imposed by the leadership.

hermano: im glad your able to do that with ur wife, and i will do what i can to give her space and love her etc... but i cant go to the hall ,i would take her if she needed a ride. maybe ur wifes personality is different i dont know.
My wife has mellowed out quite a bit, unstopableravens. At one point she left me because she couldn't stand that I didn't want to be a JW. Oddly enough she mellowed out right around the same time I did.

she has told me she can not refute any of those things but she will stick with the org!
Why not put the religion issue on hold for some time? Focus instead on the relationship. Focus on listening to each other and accepting each other without trying to change each other. People need the space to be wrong before they can be right. Focus on what brings you together, and what you have in common. Nurture that. What does she like to do? Who really is she? Nurture that.
As for the assambly, can you compromise? I drive my wife to the assambly, relax at a cafe while it's in session, then meet her for lunch. She's happy cause she's not alone the entire day. I'm happy cause I dont have to hear all the nonsense and I'm making her happy.

From personal experience, you're going about this the wrong way. Women NEED safety in the relationship, and in her mind you just took it all away. You need to reassure her of your love and that nothing is going to change between you. Remember, cults use phobias. She might be afraid that the reason why you left is because you're having an affair or looking for another woman, or so influenced by Satan that you're just ready to turn into a spiritual monster. Also, DON'T be the angry, bitter, critical, hating apostate they want you to be. I know those feelings might be there, but don't share that with your wife. Share that with a therapist. Share it on this website. But your wife doesn't need to hear that. Not right now. Right now, she needs some of the old you back in her life and pronto.
You might want to call her a work and tell her you love her. You might want to pick up some flowers for her after work. And for God's sake, slow down that apostate zeal.

Invited to Attend a J W Kangaroo Court Proceeding: Tell Them to: Put the Reason for Requesting Your Presents in Writing Along With Any Alleged Charges of Wrong Doing, So You Can Give it To Your Lawyer.
by frankiespeakin inby doing this the elders have to contact hq to get further instructions.
in many cases they will think it just not worth the red tape to proceed any further.
unless they concider you a real bad apple or threat that needs to be delt with in which case it should hold them off for a couple of months till they get direction from hq.. the wt is being threatened with law suits, they have to deal with big legal concideration of child molestation and other areas as the public is become less and less tollerant of wacko religions with abusive behavior.

What I like about the letter Blondie posted is it establishes that the DA process has very little to do with what the Bible says and A LOT to do with directives from the corporation. Without saying so, it says to the local elders, you and the Bible are just pawns, the real reason for all this is a corporation with billions of dollars and attorneys. It shatters the Jehovah illusion and lets everyone know this is really a LEGAL issue and will be treated as such.
It gives the local elders a lot to think about. Are they going through all this hassle because of what the Bible says or because of what the corporation says? Where in the bible does the term “disassociate” appear? Where does it say the person disassociating should write a letter? Where in the bible does it say they have to report the result of their committee back to corporate?
It also gives the legal department something to think about. It becomes more difficult for them to distance themselves from the outcome when elders are following their procedures and reporting back to them. I’m not an attorney, but it sure sounds like the elders are acting as their agents.
Whether the corporation is doing something illegal or their actions are protected under the constitution is irrelevant. The bottom line is cult leaders don’t like bad publicity. Such a letter puts the corporation on notice that the writer isn’t falling for the Jehovah hype and the writer knows that the corporation is behind these policies. The writer isn’t going to passively roll over and take the abuse. Is it worth it for the corporation to risk possible legal action and negative publicity? The local elders might believe that Jehovah will protect his people, but Legal is more sophisticated than that.
As another poster mentioned, if more of us approached the DA/DF process by writing a similar letter they just might receive “new light” and “come to more accurate knowledge” about how “first century Christians understood the Apostle Paul’s admonition to the Corinthians.” (Or some similar bullsh*t to cover up the change in policy due to risk of lawsuits and negative publicity.)

Are They Cynically Shutting Down The Organization?
by metatron ini've raised this idea before but recent events seem to support it.
changes in the watchtower may be guided by more than a need for cash flow: they may simply be liquidating/shutting it down as discreetly as possible.. of course, this doesn't mean they stop working on their upstate ny country club - but it could mean that the throrough going exposure and disproof of their beliefs on the internet, when it emerged, took many of them by surprize, as it did many of us!
after awhile, they generally gave up trying to make any sense of their doctrines - and coupled with cash flow issues - moved towards a quiet retreat.. take a look at a few things:.

The reactionary moves of the last 20 years lead me to believe that there is no faceless, shadow group running the WTS. If there is, they are the worst business men in the world. The organization lurches from point to point like a ship without a captain. I think the GB makes the decisions and they are surrounded by uncreative yes men who tell them what they want to hear.
I'm with Doubting Bro. They're a bunch of mindless believers who are committed to an ideology they've been taught not to question. How do you learn when you've been taught to fear knowledge? They're stuck in their own web. How can they realize their doctrines/actions don't make sense when their doctrine tells them to believe even when it seems to make no sense?

The internet as a means of circulating "spiritual food"?
by cedars ini've just finished adding an article to my blog entitled "jehovah now uses the internet to dispense new spiritual food!".
here is the link.... http://jwsurvey.org/cedars-blog/jehovah-now-uses-the-internet-to-dispense-new-spiritual-food.
my article briefly explores some of the reasons why the "new light" on the faithful slave and the manner in which it was circulated marked a radical departure from how spiritual food is normally circulated to the rank and file.

Soul Repair: Rebuilding Your Spiritual Life
This book talks about abusive spiritual leaders. JWs might recognize some of the scenarios described in the book.
