Purps is right. These days parents are being held accountable for their childrens actions. This mother should do something that is recorded permanantly somewhere. It might be her best defense when she claims she tried to get help for her son.

Why is America such an unequal society?
by hamilcarr inwith the latest surge of anti-european comments and threads from us anti-progressives on this board, a little bit american self-criticism may be appropriate.. since the eighties, income inequality has been on the rise in american society.
most economists, however, agree that redistributing wealth is a legitimate role for any modern enlightened government.
and even alan greenspan labelled us income inequality a "disturbing tend" which could lead to societal instability.

It appears the penalties are stiffer in your region. I don't agree with the one incident, one count comment made by the judge. That might be the same here too.
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.
CT RELATIVE TO CRIMINALLY NEGLIGENT HOMICIDE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Section 30A. A person is guilty of criminally negligent homicide when, with criminal negligence, he causes the death of another person. For purposes of this section, "criminal negligence" is the failure to perceive a substantial and unjustifiable risk that is of such nature and degree that the failure to perceive it constitutes a gross deviation from the standard of care that a reasonable person would observe under the circumstances. Whoever is guilty of criminally negligent homicide shall be punished by imprisonment in a house of correction for not more than 2½ years and a fine of not more than $10,000.00.

A recent poll I heard said Obama's approval rating was at 39%. So what! I doubt McCain would be better right now.
America has for some time now been in "downward mobility". Meaning, our children are graduating college and starting new careers earning less money than their parents,,,,for the first time in American history.
There is no history Obama can reflect on to tell him how to get out of this situation or how long it will last. We are in this for a long time IMO regardless of who took office this year.

I tie them up in an old pillow case. Small wash cycle with a quarter cup of laundry detergent. Once I put them in the dryer afer washing but that destroyed them.
When there done washing, remove them from the case and stuff them with crunched up newspaper. Don't try to dry them too fast, they may shrink and high heat will cause the adhesives to fail.

There has been a balance in finances so far. Something goes up a little and something else comes down.
A real avalanche is coming in the near future. I can bet on it.
