It's not as much the song, it's the version or artist version I could have a preference to. This is one of a few version's of "Oh Holy Night" I enjoy.

by undercover insomeone started a thread asking everyone's favorite xmas movies.. how about favorite xmas music/songs?
even when i was an active jw i had a soft spot for certain xmas music.
the standards, the jazzy ones, the rocknroll ones.. while i like a lot of different ones...i even collected my favs onto a playlist that i keep for this time of year...there are a few that really stand out as my favs.

I posted on JWD in my sleep last night...very weird....
by oompa ini don't know what is wrong with me lately...i went a few months without even looking at jwd, and not leaning electronically on my friends here......now i am back at it with a vengence and just as addicted as i used to be.
last night i actually woke up kinda scared....i dreamed i had posted something disrespectful about my great and wise dad/elder....and everyone pounced on me and starting posting hurtful things about me.
thank goodness for the apostagolf outing....at least making some friends with people in the flesh, but this jwd community is like my only real life now...i wish we all lived together on a tropical island............................oompa.

question on atheism vs. god
by bonnzo ini am, for now a witness on the outside, and still believe in god most of the time.
i have read dawkins "the god delusion", found it pretty interesting and helped me understand why athiests believe the way they do.
but i always have questions.....one that really bothers me about deism is the thought that god has always existed and always will, had no beginning and no end.

That might be true of some people. Not me although I find a belief in something invisible and all so powerful, yet it hasn't the strength to show itself, a delusion in itself. I think it's called faith.

personal profiles here..and on jwn in the future...
by oompa ini wish they were mandatory...but know that is stupid since guys could be girls...and girls could be guys...and you could be born in 1967 or 1997.....but cmon!...give a little bit of info...just be a bit honest...i just wish everyone would post an honest profile that would not incriminate themselves as a jw....if at all possible...anybody else feel like this?.............oompa

It is my opinion based on my personal experience of moderating this site and the statistics / profiles of each voter type (democrats tending to be better educated).
I removed my profile back in June when this post was made. I was offended when I realized someone would read profiles as a way to measure people's intelligence.
I have read very few profiles and I would never try to think the person who wrote it is black or white, from California or Boston, intelligent or unintelligent or democrat or republican.
