My father has researched our family back to Wales, ancestors that fought in the Rev war, and the War between the states. The government has military record on family members if you have some basic info to give them on your ancestors. You might have to give the unit they served in, but its amazing the stuff you can learn about their lives once you track em down.

JESUS: 42 Watchtower: 0 Game Over Plus they have very little cheerleaders, 7 million? TopHat, no money needed to worship God. We would still be sitting under trees in the shade worshipping, if all the money and luxuries went away.

CONVERSATION WITH MY JW SISTER LAST NIGHT......
by Mary inwell i guess this was a long time in coming, but yesterday afternoon, my family all got together and had a bbq at my parents' home.
when my parents left at around 6:00pm to drive my one non-dub sister home, my other sister and brother in law (former elder), stayed for a while longer.. we've never discussed my leaving 'the truth' a couple of years ago but she brought it up last night and we started talking about the religion.
everyone had been drinking but no one was drunk, so alot got said.

She said if you prove its not the truth? just pickout any number of there teachings that absolutely cant be proven to be fact. Ask her how it can be the truth if one cant even prove it with fact.

Sounds like a group of people just making nice with others. Not anything wrong with that. I guess it could be worse. They could be out on the streets bugging people or making people believe that Christ is an archangel or one of the chief princes.

Do witnesses visit loved ones grave sites?
by NotaNess incurious about that one.
were visiting my wifes family in new orleans this week, and she brought up going see her relatives graves.
if they do how does the experience differ from a non-witness.

Curious about that one. Were visiting my wifes family in New Orleans this week, and she brought up going see her relatives graves. If they do how does the experience differ from a non-witness. If anyone has experience on the subject, I appreciate you thoughts. (if Im missing punctuation, its because Im on my phone posting, sorry)

by smellsgood insince you said you had been reading this board for at least a few weeks, and didn't have a problem researching things online, i'm surprised that it seems you've cut and run so soon!
did you change your mind, perhaps decided it was too contrary to your beliefs for you to handle?
were you surprised at the reactions you got?

This can be humorous. If these were put in Kingdom Halls, what would be the structure?
1) You'd be photographed by the machine right off the bat for Congregational records.
2) You would be required to submit a "Log-in" time and quantity sheet at the end of every month.
3) Those given the responsibility of running the ATMs in the hall and to keep track of who's giving and who's not, wouldn't be called "Tellers", but rather "Tell-on-ers".
4) One would have to make sure all shirts are ironed and ties nice and straight before Jehovah, as they are giving from their plastic.
5) Of course you would be using your latest debit card proudly issued by the 125th corporation started by the WTS, called "The Bank of Jehovah" or TBOJcorp.

What if the Society, held a 1 day "comment card" submission at KH's??
by NotaNess inso on a given meeting day or night, jw's were allowed to drop in anonymous comment cards into a box at the front door as you left or entered.
how sweet would it be, to be one of the readers of the cards at bethel.. i don't think the wts would be able to handle all the negative issues and comments that would be headed their way.. here's your chance.
what would your comment card say?
