  BOTR --- I don't mean to be rude to you, but each poster on this forum has a style (of sorts). Your criticism of Bangladore, imo, is unnecessary and frankly, out of order.

  If you knew Bangladore's personal posting style---meaning you have taken the time to observe and get to know his on-line persona---you probably would have chosen not to use such invective language toward him.

  He generally posts a link and asks for discussion. It's his style. Get to know him.

  BTW - There are lots of well-educated people in the world that are intellectually bankrupt. They tend to know a lot about one or two narrow fields, but fail when it comes to the broader spectrum. I recently took a civics test sent to me by a good friend just for fun. My score was much higher than the average law professor....imagine that.

  And what if this is the ONLY life you have to live? What if now is all you have? Do you want to live it suppressed, oppressed, and repressed? Do you want to spend your life serving a publishing/real estate/investment company, never knowing who you are and what your potential might be? Do you want to give THAT to your children? If you believe in a divine presence, as I do, develop a personal relationship with it (resonance) and love your neighbor. Then live your life with joy and freedom from worrying about it.

  How many of you would have let your child die over the blood issue?

  i knew and planned, that if it came to that, i would close the door and tell the doctor to use blood to save my child and let god kill me for it if needed.

  i lacked faith that we were 100% right i guess so i couldn't take that risk.

  JWs always remind you of the deep faith Abraham had in being willing to kill his own son for God. Of course, God intervened just in the nick of time. I think the witnesses hold fast hoping He will do the same for them. When this doesn't happen, they console themselves with the scripture that talks about this earthly life not being nearly as important as your hope of a resurrection to eternal life.

  It's sad to think one thinks they are required to allow such a thing to prove their love and strong faith. There's something very wrong with that doctrine, imo, and I always knew I could never let my child die for it. Something told me the true Divine One would never require such a thing. I decided if that doctrine was true, I would be the one to lose my everlasting life....not my innocent child. So be it. I would be more than willing to give my life up for my child's. I'll take the bullet any day for one of my kids.

  LOL....Now look at the weird right index finger (claw-like).....Draw a line straight down from the pointed tip of that finger and look at the image of what it's pointing at. Tell me I'm not the only one that sees that!

  Got Turnips as FS Donation--need recipes!

  good afternoon!.

  needing to appear to actually earn my dirrty thirty this month i went out for two hours....... anywho one householder we called on was having a bumber crop of turnips!

  she offered and i accepted!.

  Take the turnips out of the sack and look quizzically at them. Smell them. Ugh! Then while feeling guilty for what you are about to do (remember all the starving people throughout the world) gather them all up and toss in a garbage can......or donate (re-gift) them to your local food kitchen.

  P.S. - I have cooked them like mashed potatoes. I mainly use the greens though.

  after hearing what i was told i was so pumped up with holy spirit i thought i was going to crawl right out of my own skin .

  oldflame, I very much appreciate your posting this. I have been interested in NDEs for many years ever since one of my close JW relatives experienced one. She recounted how she floated out of her body and up to the ceiling and watched her body as it lay unconscious, describing in detail observations all around her. Being a witness, she was left baffled at the experience.

  No one really understands what consciousness is and "why" it is. There are varying levels of it, for sure, but it's so much more than we know. Science explains the how, but it has never been able to explain the why (try as it might).
