  The Day Has Arrived

  two months ago i stepped down as an elder in the cong, it was a tremdous relief although a shock to the cong.

  two and a half days ago i sent in a letter of explaination concerning why i wanted to step down and why i will be absent from the kh.

  it only took two and a half days for the accusation of apostasy to be made against me.

  Roof Repair-Could Any Brothers Give a Hand?

  a friend/co-worker of mine who is an inactive dub told me today that the old hall i went to is getting a new roof.

  however, he was upset because only "special" people are being allowed to work on it (himself not included, nor his active, in good-standing father).

  it seems you have to be "invited" to work on your own kingdom hall roof now.

  considering that most if not all of the wt beliefs are bs......................do you think any of them are right?.

  i myself dont believe in hell fire, but foreverything else, the trinity imortality of the soul, the great apostacy or armageddon im still not 100 % sure.

  so which ones do you think the wt are spot on with ?.

  they sent paris hilton back to jail.

  as i have expressed on here many time, paris hilton is my least favorite of the hollywood people.

  so, seeing her escorted from the court to the police car like a common criminal, while she yelled for her mother, ...... .

  hell yeah. i loved what the d.a. said about not allowing celebrities get away with stuff the average person can't. she could have killed someone. i mean, 3 times? that's ridiculous. here in new orleans, we are a huge drinking town, that's basically all we do, lol but, if you get caught 1 time with a d.u.i. here, that's your ass. they don't play around with that here. better get a cab.

  there are 3 current threads that say these very things.

  (ok, the one about armageddon says it will come within days or weeks--not months--so that means june 2007.

  seems to me this is whipping up into a paranoia bigger than the 1980s apostate scare, bigger than they've ever seen before.

  i was in line today at mcdonald's with intention of buying only the 69-cent diet soda and i thought about what the little girl taking the order would think - made me laugh to think about someone else's opinion of my cheap purchases.

  then i remembered all the following that i used to believe because i was brought up in the org.:.

  jehovah and the angels and jesus are always watching everything you do satan and the demons are always watching everything you do the world is always watching everything you do (everything had to be a "witness" for jehovah) the congregation is always watching everything you do (wouldn't want to "stumble" anyone)and they are all waiting for the least little error so they can pounce and condemn you to eternal destruction.. it's a wonder we aren't all completely crazy and paranoid..

  i am guilty of this. i have to reason with myself. when i am making a purchase, i never want to seem cheap. however, my sensible side kicks in and i try to make a good purchase.

  whereami, no one disputes global warming. what is in question is the SOURCE of it. the earth goes through trends. we are in a warming trend. everyone is screaming about carbon dioxide that cars produce. the thing is, if you do research, the amount of this "greenhouse gas" is non-linear. in layman's terms, more co2 does not necessarily mean hotter climates.

  it cracks me up that al gore is pushing carbon offsets. i'm sure everyone is aware he sells these things. follow the money.
