  as some of us know wbts owns 50% of rand cam corp.i was watching cnn and they said rand corp operates a military think tank.does anyone know anymore about this?...outlaw

  Well, slap my face and call me corrected!

  I am feeling a bit woozy. I checked out the Tenk Wizard site and typed in Watchtower...and lo and behold you speaketh the truth!

  It does note that these were donated shares....I think this may have been addressed in a post here, but do they have to wait to sell these shares off? I would ask : Couldn't they have REFUSED the stock, but I know that they want the money...what the heck, so would I!!!!

  OOOOOO....I would like to see what they are going to do with this stock. I really feel ill about this. How can we find out if these stocks have been dumped? I am trying to check on the rand site but am not sure how to find it.

  about three years ago my future husband suggested i read a book by robert heilein called, job: a comedy of justice".

  i reccommend this book to everyone and anyone that has been in any religion.

  it is quite an amusing, but disturbing story about a minister that keeps being put into different lives.

  I think anyone that has a fundemental understanding of ANY major religion would find this book interesting...maybe even downright infuriating, haahaa!

  I have read another one of Heilin's last summer, cannot remember the name, but it is about a guy that is one of the few that does not wish to mess with his genes to procreate.

  My husband is a HUGE fan of his. He has a ton of books here, including the stranger in a strange land, starship troopers, and about 15 others.

  While I have not read Hubbard, my husband has a few of his scifi books and say most are quite good. To me, Hubbard was able to pull off the ultimate scam. He created his own religion in such a short period of time.

  you may recall me posting about ray's troubles with lucy, his jw wife.

  lucy recently accused ray of feeding her poisoned sausages, with the result that ray was visited by the police.

  Methinks Ray's wife needs some SERIOUS medication!

  Can I reccomend adavant, effexor, zoloft, prozac, or paxil?

  If they don't help calm her down, then maybe she needs a month or two stay in a nice, peaceful "facility".

  Or maybe Ray should just tell his wife that he is not trying to kill HER, but himself. See what she says to that.

  i waz 23 yrs.

  old when i signed up to be a dub.

  being a former catholic with the (big church & choris thing), i waz always puzzled at the pathetic wimpering the dubs called singing.. looking back, it now makes sence to me, this monotinous droning waz just a reflection of a sick religion, a church without a heart & soul!

  We had a small handful of people in our congregation that could really belt it out...my family always tried to sit near them because we could sing really loud and not be embarrassed because they drowned us out, haahaaa!

  Any suggestions on a Bible and a Bible commentary?

  i currently use the new world translation of the holy scriptures, and it seems to be a pretty good bible.

  but i am looking for a good, modern-english version with which to do some comparison reading.

  plus, i am looking for a good bible commentary for research.

  About three years ago my future husband suggested I read a book by Robert Heilein called, JOB: A Comedy of Justice".

  I reccommend this book to everyone and anyone that has been in any religion. It is quite an amusing, but disturbing story about a minister that keeps being put into different lives. It addresses a few different versions of heaven and hell.

  About 1/3 into the book I got pissed off at the author because he was making so many good points. Understand, this is a novel, not a work of nonfiction, and it is not preachy. It is a riot, but really opened my mind regarding religion in general. You can find it at Barnes and Noble.com and I am sure a bunch of other places.

  Has anyone else read this book?

  Some one broke in my house yesterday

  there's this guy who i used to be friends with who thought that the only reason my kids loved me was because i rewarded them.

  of course, i had to prove him wrong.

  last friday i heard him talking to some people that he was going to break into my house and kill a few of my kids as well as trash the house.

  What if?- A sobering Thought!

  has anyone ever pondered over the two scripture's at matthew 25: 31, 32 and daniel 12:1?

  the first tells us that the son of man is "sitting down" ... and that then a "separating" work begins.

  then in daniel 12:1 it tells us that when michael "stands up" a great time of trouble ensues.. do you think it's possible he is not yet "standing up?

  I am a basically good person. I do not believe that God would lump me or my family in with murderers or the like.

  Basically, if the Witness DO have it right, that just means I am going to die, kaput that is it.

  No major regrets here. My life has not been perfect, could be better, but it is still precious, and I am grateful for it. I think God realizes that.

  That's a riot!

  When I was going over the questions to get baptized in 1992, one elder told me that I needed to understand that the elders may not be available right away for assistance if I had a problem. After all, they do have families of their own.

  I guess for some elders' families it really was a problem of the elders putting their families second to "the flock".
